A girl from Azerbaijan who was banned from school for wearing the Hijab, emotionally spoke out against the ban.

An attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, 10 October, has left 12 people dead and 309 injured, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
The Houthis are suspected of carrying out the attack, although responsibility has not been officially confirmed.
Among those killed were four Saudi citizens and residents of several nationalities, including two Bangladeshis, as well as nationals of the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan.
Some of the injured remain in critical condition and are receiving medical treatment at several hospitals.
We pray for peace between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, and an end to the violence that continues to cost innocent lives.

Professor Mariam Jamal-Hanjani has been appointed Chief Clinician at Cancer Research UK, taking on a leading role in shaping the charity’s clinical research and efforts to improve cancer treatment.
She is a Professor of Cancer Genomics and Metastasis at University College London and an internationally recognised researcher specialising in how cancer evolves, spreads and develops resistance to treatment.
Speaking about her appointment, Professor Jamal-Hanjani said: “Cancer Research UK has an extraordinary track record of turning scientific discovery into real-world benefit for patients, and the chance to help shape that mission is something I feel deeply privileged to take on.”

Turkish fans unveiled powerful banners before a friendly match between Konyaspor and the Palestine national team kicked off.
The banners featured Khaled Nabhan and his granddaughter who were killed in the Gaza genocide as well as 12-year-old Muhammad al-Durrah, who was killed in September 2000 in Gaza depsite efforts by his father to protect him.
Another powerful banner read: "Silence is for when children sleep not when they die."

20-year-old Mohammed Naim Islam was visiting Snowdon, Wales, with some friends. As Maghrib approached, he went to a nearby lake to make wudhu.
As he was doing so, strong winds pushed him into the water. However, Naim did not know how to swim.
Emergency crews soon arrived and recovered his body.
The Prophet (peace be upon him said) “The martyrs are five: the one who dies from the plague, the one who dies from a stomach illness, the one who drowns, the one who dies beneath a collapsed building, and the martyr who is killed in the cause of Allah.” Sahih al-Bukhari

The British Foreign Secretary Ed Milliband has provided Britain's estimate on how many people have been killed in the genocide in Gaza.
He said that over 70,000 had been killed with at least 20,000 of them being children but stopped short of calling it a genocide.
He also shared the government's position that 'ethnic cleansing' was being carried out in the West Bank and that imports from illegal settlements would be banned. However, trade with Israel would continue.
He said, "The British government agrees that there is ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in areas of the West Bank perpetrated by settler terrorists.
And all too often, the Israeli government has turned a blind eye to this, and worse, members of it have made statements and taken actions to support the forced displacement of Palestinians."
Despite the strong statement, he said that he was "proud of my Jewishness" and "unwavering in my support for the State of Israel."

Ratko Mladić, the general known as the “Butcher of Bosnia”, has died while serving a life sentence for genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.
He was convicted of genocide for his role in the Srebrenica massacre, where more than 8,000 Muslim men and boys were murdered in July 1995 .
The massacre remains the worst mass killing in Europe since the Second World War.
He will now face true justice in the court of Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ gave serious warnings about debt.
He ﷺ said: “The martyr is forgiven for every sin except debt.” (Sahih Muslim)
Even someone who gives their life in the path of Allah is not automatically freed from the rights they owe to others.
That’s how seriously Islam treats debt.
If you owe someone money, make paying it back a priority.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Delayed payment by a rich person is an act of injustice.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
If you can pay, don’t keep delaying. Don’t make excuses. Don’t make the person chase you for what is rightfully theirs.
But if you are genuinely struggling and sincerely intend to repay, the Prophet ﷺ taught us a beautiful du’a: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from incapacity and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and being overpowered by others.” (Bukhari)
So make the intention. Speak to the person you owe and make a repayment plan.
And if you have the ability to pay, pay it before you leave this world.

Maitham Ali was upstairs at his family’s home in West London when he heard a commotion downstairs.
He rushed down to find his mum and grandmother panicking.
His two-day-old brother, Mohammad-Jawad, had vomited and was choking. He was turning blue and struggling to breathe.
But Maitham stayed calm.
He had received first aid training as a St John Ambulance Cadet and immediately told his mum what to do.
He instructed her to place the baby face-down across her arm, support his head, and give him back blows.
After just two back blows, Mohammad-Jawad started crying.
His airway had opened.
His mum, Raghad, said the baby’s colour returned, and he started breathing again.
“He was telling me what to do, making sure I stayed calm and making sure we got the ambulance called.” she said.
Maitham is only 13. But when his family was panicking, his first aid training meant he knew exactly what to do.
