Now is the time to start looking at land in the mountains. We're probably more than five years away from something truly crippling to society, but it helps to have a plan ahead of time. I say this as someone who is getting out from under the heel of the DoW very soon and spending every dollar I can spare to get the fuck away from society.

Supply lines will become more fragile. Put up a greenhouse and starting growing your own food in the spring. Also, have enough food on hand to make it through the winter. People don't think about this shit becuase they've always been able to just got to Wendy's or the local supermarket and get food. What if the supply chains break? What if the food processing plants get burned down?
