•A BANK IN SINGAPORE WENT DARK FOR SEVENTEEN MINUTES LAST NIGHT. NOBODY NOTICED. NOBODY WAS SUPPOSED TO.
There was no cyberattack.
There was no statement from the bank, no alert to customers, no mention in any news feed.
Just seventeen minutes of silence and when the systems came back online, the routing tables underneath had been rewritten.
🔻WHAT HAPPENED IN THOSE SEVENTEEN MINUTES:
• The bank's internal settlement layer was migrated from the legacy SWIFT framework onto the ISO 20022 rails. The migration was scheduled months ago, but the execution window was kept deliberately narrow - too short for anyone to notice, too precise for anyone to interfere
• Three other institutions in the region were migrated in the same window. None of them issued a press release. None of them informed their customers. None of them will ever confirm what happened
• The old routing tables were not deleted. They were archived - stored in a format that can be read but not used. The new tables are live. The old ones are history
• A single line appeared in an internal log at 03:47 local time: "Migration complete. Legacy layer inactive."
Why does this matter? Because every time a bank migrates onto the new rails, the old system loses another piece of its foundation. It is not collapsing. It is being replaced - quietly, methodically, one institution at a time.

On October 22, 2024, ATB joined the Prosecutor's Office Technical Investigation Body (CTI) and the Colombian National Army in a coordinated operation in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
Per ATB's briefing, 150 personnel carried out 16 coordinated raids, resulting in 21 arrests and the rescue of 200 victims: 19 women, 178 men, and 3 minors.

| 18 |  SBI Announces Arrest in Year-Long Drug Trafficking Investigation
(WAYNE COUNTY, N.C.) – A year-long investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SB) and partner agencies has led to the arrest of Antonio Javon Parker on multiple drug trafficking and firearms charges.
The SBI worked the case with the Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Task Force, the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, the Greenville Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The investigation wrapped up in September 2026, and the SBI obtained warrants for Parker based on what investigators found. He was served with outstanding warrants for:
-- Two counts of Level 3 Trafficking Methamphetamine
-- Level 2 Trafficking Methamphetamine
-- Two counts of Level 3 Trafficking Fentanyl
-- Level 1 Trafficking Cocaine
-- Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
-- Possession of a Stolen Firearm
-- Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance
-- Three counts of Maintaining a Dwelling
Troopers also found a trafficking amount of narcotics on Parker when he was stopped. The Highway Patrol charged him with:
-- Trafficking MDMA
-- Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine
-- Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Fentanyl
-- Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance
-- Open Container of Alcohol.
Over the course of the investigation, agents seized:
-- 1,375 grams of methamphetamine
-- 288 grams of fentanyl
-- 1,360 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
-- 42 grams of cocaine
-- more than $16,000 in cash
-- six firearms, one of which had been reported stolen.
Parker is being held at the Wayne County Detention Center without bond.
