btw, The Red Shoes.❤️ Ngl, I got the Black Swan vibe almost instantly… turns out Black Swan was actually inspired by it … What struck me wasn’t just the ballet, but how both stories center on women whose extraordinary talent is slowly consumed by the expectations of the powerful people around them. They don’t simply celebrate ambition they ask what happens when your identity becomes inseparable from achievement. It’s fascinating that a film from 1948 still feels so relevant. Different style, different era, but the same quiet question: How much of yourself can you give to excellence before there’s nothing left outside of it? Anyway very beautiful and incredible
