Start reading this book... it seems cool.

Repost from Chapi Dev Talks
New post: tracking a FreeSWITCH "Connection Refused" through three wrong theories to a race condition in an upstream Go library.
Bonus gotcha: the panic was invisible to journalctl because the systemd unit redirected stderr to a file.

Today I learned about something called a 51% attack in blockchain and it’s actually kinda interesting 😭
I used to think blockchain was just “if everyone agrees then it’s valid,” but the crazy part is if someone somehow controls more than 51% of the network’s mining/validation power, they could potentially manipulate recent transactions or even double spend.
They still can’t magically steal wallets or create coins from nowhere because cryptography still protects ownership, but they can mess with consensus if they control the majority of the network power.
What makes big blockchains like BTC hard to attack though is how insanely expensive it would be to control that much mining power. You’d need massive hardware, crazy electricity, and billions of dollars just to even try 😭 and if the attack actually worked, the value of the same crypto you spent all that money on could crash anyway 💀
That’s why decentralization is such a huge deal in crypto.

I saw this random video on YT accusing forex traders, and honestly it’s crazy how people judge things they don’t even understand. Most people never see the sleepless nights, losses, stress, discipline, and sacrifices traders go through just to get where they are. Ofc, not every trader is genuine, some people fake lifestyles and scam others, but that doesn’t mean everyone in the space is the same.
The bigger problem is that people rarely respect or support others once they start doing better than them. Instead of appreciating the hard work, they throw hate and assumptions around. That mindset is honestly sad.
