Congratulations to All Law Students from 1st to 5th Year! We are thrilled to announce that our long-standing request for a separate law library has finally been addressed! For quite some time, we have approached the university administration to establish a dedicated library for law students, distinct from the general campus library, for several important reasons: 1. A dedicated space allows for a quieter and more conducive environment for studying complex legal materials. 2.  A separate library fosters a sense of community among law students, encouraging collaboration and discussion. Today, we are pleased to share that the new law library is officially open and ready to serve all law students, providing a space where we can study freely and effectively. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Terefe Getachew, the Academic Vice President, for your prompt and actionable response to our concerns. Your commitment to addressing our needs demonstrates your dedication to solving the challenges we face as students. While there are still some issues pending resolution, such as the moot court hall, your actions give us confidence that all our inquiries will be taken seriously and addressed in due course. We also want to express our appreciation to former Law School Dean Mr. Minda Girma for his dedication to our cause, as well as to the current Dean, Ms. Rozina Mekonen. A big thank you goes out to all the library staff who worked diligently to arrange this new library. The 9th National Moot Court Competition at Mizan Tepi University We are pleased to announce that the 9th National Moot Court Competition will take place from May 1-3/2017, (9-11/ 2024), at Mizan Tepi University. This year’s competition will focus on the critical issues of "International Human Rights and Transitional Justice." This event serves as an important platform for law students across the country to engage in meaningful discourse on these vital topics. Participants from various universities have already submitted their memorials, and we look forward to the upcoming oral arguments. We invite all members of the legal community to take note of this significant event. Your awareness and support for such initiatives contribute to the enhancement of legal education and advocacy in our nation.
