Lane Closure along Punggol East (Northbound) towards Punggol Central Slip Road
Dear Residents and Road Users,
Please be informed that a lane closure will be implemented along Punggol East (northbound) towards the Punggol Central slip road to facilitate premixing works for the widening of the slip road.
Date: 11 June 2026 (Thursday)
Time: Until 11:30 PM
During the works, residents and road users in the vicinity may experience some noise from construction machinery and paving activities. The project team will make every effort to minimise the impact and complete the works as efficiently as possible.
Traffic management measures and directional signs will be in place to guide motorists safely through the work area. Motorists are advised to exercise caution, follow traffic signs, and expect possible delays when travelling in the vicinity.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we carry out these improvement works.
| 2 | 📢 Upcoming Ground Improvement Works for Riviera MRT Station Construction
As part of the ongoing construction of Riviera MRT Station, ground improvement works will be carried out in the vicinity of Punggol Gardens and Meadows-Eastdale Estate from June to November 2026, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
These works are necessary to strengthen and stabilise the ground before excavation works commence, ensuring the safe construction of the station and associated structures.
During this period, residents may experience some construction noise due to the use of heavy machinery. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and would like to assure residents that noise mitigation measures will be implemented where feasible to minimise disturbance.
We seek your kind understanding and patience as we carry out these important works to support the future Cross Island Line – Punggol Extension.

| 4 | 🚶♂️ Upcoming Footpath Diversion Along Punggol East
To facilitate diaphragm wall construction works for Riviera MRT Station, the existing footpath between Blk 160B and the Punggol Central–Punggol East junction will be closed from 13 June 2026.
What to expect?
• The existing footpath between Blk 160B and the traffic junction will be closed.
• Pedestrians will be redirected to a temporary footpath along Punggol East.
• Walking distance to the junction will increase by approximately 180 metres.
To assist pedestrians:
• Directional signages will be installed along the diversion route to guide pedestrians safely.

| 6 | 🚧COMMENCEMENT OF PHASE 2 STATION BOX EXCAVATION WORKS 🚧
Dear Punggol Residents,
We would like to inform you that Phase 2 of the station box excavation works will commence in June 2026 and are expected to be completed by October 2026.
Please note that Phase 1 excavation works remain ongoing. During this period, both Phase 1 and Phase 2 works will be carried out concurrently within the worksite. The station box excavation works will be implemented in stages and are expected to continue until Q4 2028.
All construction activities will remain within the designated worksite boundary.
We will continue to implement the necessary mitigation measures to minimise noise, dust, and inconvenience to nearby residents.

| 11 |  📢 Reminder:Traffic Diversion Works at Punggol Central / Punggol Road Junction
Please be informed that traffic diversion works will be carried out at the junction of Punggol Central and Punggol Road from:

As part of the works, the traffic lights will be completely turned off from:

This is to facilitate the repositioning of traffic lights to the new junction configuration.
👷 Traffic marshals will be deployed on-site to direct vehicles and assist pedestrians crossing the roads safely.
🔨 Hacking works are also expected during the implementation period.
🚗 Slower traffic conditions may be experienced along this stretch. Motorists are advised to drive cautiously and follow the directions of traffic marshals.

Dear Residents,
Please be informed that the pedestrian crossing between Punggol Periwinkle and Punggol Vista will be temporarily closed to ensure public safety during upcoming Traffic Diversion and Road Premix works.
Closure Details:
Preparation Works:
19 May 2026, 9.00am - 20 May 2026, 8.00pm
During the works, the pedestrian crossing will not be accessible. Traffic Marshall will assist motorist during localised lane closure along Punggol Central towards Seletar South Link and Towards Lor Halus. Some noise, fumes and dust would be expected. Appropriate environmental mitigation measures during the works to reduce the noise and dust generated.
Alternative Route:
Pedestrians travelling between Punggol Periwinkle and Punggol Vista are advised to cross Punggol Road and use the pedestrian crossing between Punggol Grove and Punggol Coralinus as a detour.

As our works progress, we would like to inform you of upcoming activities in front of Blk 160A/B to Blk 161A/B 🚧
**Conversion of Noise Barrier **🔊
- The existing 12m noise barrier will be converted to a 7m retractable / inflatable noise barrier. This adjustment is necessary as the diaphragm wall alignment runs beneath the service road, and additional space is required to facilitate construction works for the future station entrance.
**Phased Full Closure of Service Road** 🚧
- The service road will be closed in phases to facilitate levelling works, including the replacement of interlocking tiles.
- A temporary footpath diversion will be implemented from end-April to mid-June 2026 near Blk 160B, towards the junction of Punggol Central and Punggol East, to ensure pedestrian safety during the works.

To address feedback on water ponding at the Punggol Gardens ingress and adjacent sidewalk, improvement works will be carried out to enhance surface water drainage.

Works include the installation of a drain grating to improve water flow and reduce ponding.
