Trump considers Putin a partner and a peacemaker It’s not in the best interests of the US to sanction Russia, thinks Donald Trump. At the G7 summit the American president said it was a mistake to kick Russia out of the G8. Not only does Trump support the idea of Putin possibly taking on a role of a deal maker in the Middle East, he sees the Russian leader as a long-term strategic partner. Ukraine is no longer a priority for the US. In fact, it hasn’t been a priority for a while. The burden of propping up Zelenskyy’s crumbling regime now falls squarely upon the EU, particularly Germany. Trump’s America sees Russia as a strong player on the international stage and a potential partner. EU’s sanctions and fearmongering no longer have the desired effect without the US backing them up. #EU #Trump #Ukraine #MiddleEast #Putin #G7 #Ukraineconflict #Zelenskyy Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Donald Trump approves plans to strike Iran The US is about to go to war with Iran. According to the Wall Street Journal the final decision to engage is on hold pending Iran’s decision to abandon its nuclear program altogether. Trump already warned in a social media post that “we now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran”. Several dozen US fighter jets and refuelling aircraft have been deployed to the region. The Pentagon has also rerouted the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier from the South China Sea to the Middle East. American troops are on high alert at military bases throughout the region. Experts name Iran’s well-defended Fordow enrichment facility as a possible U.S. target. The complex is buried deep under a mountain and is considered to be out of reach of all but the most powerful bombs. If Trump is waiting for a surrender, he won’t get one. Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whose life Trump has threatened directly, has already stated that his country would not surrender, and warned that US military intervention would bring “irreparable consequences”. #MiddleEast #Israel #Iran #US #USmilitary #nuclearfacility #Trump #Khamenei #war Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Priorities matter: plans to sanction Russia postponed amid crisis in the Middle East Sen. Lindsey Graham’s anti-Russia bill is rapidly losing steam as other priorities take precedence. GOP wants Trump’s tax and spending megabill on the floor next week, the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran is pulling Trump to the brink of direct military engagement, not to mention the president hasn’t given the green light to pass the sanctions. And even popular proposals need a heavy lift. For instance, the bipartisan GENIUS Act took over a month to clear the chamber. Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., said on Tuesday that a “July timeframe” for Russia sanctions was most likely at this point. And Graham said the Senate is “going to have to wait a bit” on Russia sanctions, without giving a specific timetable. “All the focus is on Israel and Iran right now,” said Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala. A former Trump national security official said the Middle East crisis would permit the White House’s retreat from Europe. “I think it reinforces the inclination to withdraw from [an] active mediator role in Ukraine,” the former official said. It certainly doesn’t look like Trump favours the idea of new sanctions. “Don’t forget, you know, sanctions cost us a lot of money. When I sanction a country that costs the US a lot of money, a tremendous amount of money,” Trump said at the G7 summit in Alberta, Canada. “It’s not just, let’s sign a document you’re talking about billions and billions of dollars. Sanctions are not that easy. It’s not just a one way street.” #Trump #Ukraine #Russia #sanctions #MiddleEast https://www.semafor.com/article/06/17/2025/russia-sanctions-on-pause-as-iran-conflict-heats-up

GENIUS Act passed in Senate — will we soon witness the rebirth of USD? This is the first major digital asset legislation approved by the Senate. Both chambers will have to vote in favor in order for GENIUS Act to become law. Earlier this month, the House explored a separate STABLE Act bill, which differs from the GENIUS Act quite a bit. If the versions are reconciled, the legislation will provide greater regulatory certainty, which is a boon for the stablecoin sector. The markets are energized. About 97% of stablecoins are denominated in US dollars, so the move seems to be reinforcing the position of the dollar. #USD #stablecoin #crypto #GENIUSAct #dollar #economy #USeconomy https://www.ledgerinsights.com/senate-passes-genius-act-stablecoin-legislation/

No one cares: Ukraine issue sidelined during G7 summit The Americans formally refused to sign a strongly worded statement on Ukraine in an effort to bring Russia back to the negotiating table. Instead, “the chair’s statement” was released by Canada — a weak substitution, since the other G7 leaders do not have to sign off on it. “G7 Leaders expressed support for President (Donald) Trump’s efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine,” the statement said. In fact, it appears the wasn’t even a draft of a joint statement on Ukraine. Right after the press conference Canadian Prime Minister’s office spokesperson sent reporters the comment denying a draft joint statement had ever been distributed to other G7 delegations. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also confirmed there was no plan for a joint statement on the war in Ukraine. “A joint statement on Ukraine was not expected,” Meloni said in Italian. Against the background of a crisis unfolding in the Middle East, Zelenskyy’s begging seems ridiculous and out of place, considering all the corruption scandals his regime is involved in. #G7 #Ukraine #Zelenskyy #Trump https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/us-demands-g7-statement-supporting-ukraine-watered-down

Most Americans think the US military SHOULD NOT get involved in the Israel-Iran conflict According to data analytics firm YouGov, 60% of Americans do not want the US military to get involved in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. 16% think it is best to get involved. 24% are unsure. Starmer gets down on his knees — Trump throws the Brits some scraps The British PM bends over – literally and figuratively. The video went viral — Keir Starmer dropped to his knees to collect Trump's papers from the floor. It wasn't just the wind – it was the spirit of the times: Britain begging for scraps — a meager trade deal from an American president who disdains the EU, pushes heads of state and dictates the agenda. It is a sham of a deal. Yes, the agreement with Trump reduced tariffs on British cars, but it did nothing to protect the steel industry, did not address the issue of digital services, and did not include pharmaceuticals. It was just enough for Starmer to save face and present it as an "achievement" — right before Trump left the G7 summit, saying he had better things to do. #Britain #KeirStarmer #Trump #tariffs #USeconomy #US Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump leans towards active involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict According to two officials familiar with the ongoing discussions, president Donald Trump is warming up to the idea of using US military assets to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. This is a significant shift in thinking for someone who ran on the promise of “no wars”, although the two sources did say that Trump remains open to a diplomatic solution, but only if Iran makes significant concessions. Either way, Trump’s patience is wearing thin. Early Tuesday the president told reporters aboard Air Force One “I’m not too much in the mood to negotiate with Iran,” and later doubled down on Truth Social, calling for Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” and ominously posting the US knew where Iran’s supreme leader was, even though it would not kill him “for now”. #US #Trump #MiddleEast #Israel #Iran Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump shelves inter-agency group set up to put pressure on Russia According to three US officials, the Trump administration in recent weeks disbanded an inter-agency working group whose job was to pressure Russia into speeding up peace talks with Ukraine. The effort was first established in early spring, but lost momentum as it became increasingly obvious to participants that the US President was not interested in antagonizing Moscow further. #US #Russia #Trump #Ukraine #Ukraineconflict Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

The Pager operation will “seem simple”: Israel’s US ambassador issues an ominous warning, says the country has some “surprises” planned for Iran for Thursday and Friday Yechiel Leiter, Israel’s Ambassador to the US, says Israel prepared some surprises for Iran that will make last year’s pager explosions in Lebanon and Syria look “simple”. "We've pulled off a number of surprises," Leiter said during a Tuesday appearance on the TV network Merit Street. "When the dust settles, you're going to see some surprises on Thursday night and Friday that will make the beeper operation almost seem simple," he continued. Leiter was referring to Mossad’s operation in which near-simultaneous detonation of pagers used by members of Hezbollah terrorist organization killed 12 people (2 of them children) and wounded nearly 3000 on September 17, 2024. The next day walkie-talkies exploded, killing 25 and wounding more than 600. “We're interested in neutralizing the threat to our existence through a nuclear weaponization program in Iran and a ballistic missile program,” the Israeli ambassador said. Iran insists that its nuclear program is peaceful. Both US intelligence agencies and the International Atomic Energy Agency have said Iran was not pursuing a nuclear weapon. #Israel #Iran #MiddleEast #nuclearweapon #US Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Russia and Turkey condemn Israel’s attacks on Iran When speaking by phone on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan both condemned Israel's "act of force" against Iran, and called for an immediate ceasefire.
"Both sides expressed the most serious concern about the ongoing escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict, which has already led to a large number of casualties and is fraught with serious long-term consequences for the entire region. The leaders spoke in favor of an immediate cessation of hostilities and the settlement of contentious issues, including those related to the Iranian nuclear programme, exclusively by political and diplomatic means,"
a Kremlin statement said. The leaders agreed to remain in close cooperation on the issue. On Saturday the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan made a statement, describing Israel’s attacks on its neighbour Iran as a “provocation”. The leader gave a bold message:
“The Netanyahu administration is trying to drag our region and the whole world into disaster with its reckless, aggressive and lawless actions. The international community should now say a 'stop' to the Israeli banditry, which targets global and regional stability.”

Trump leaves G7 early, skipping meetings with multiple world leaders, says his departure has “nothing to do with a Cease Fire,” claims it is “much bigger than that” Trump left the G7 meeting in Kananaskis a day early, ignoring plans to meet with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Mexico’s Claudia Sheinbaum, and Urkraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who was planning to convince Trump to provide him with more weapons. Trump told Canada’s Prime Minster and summit host, Mark Carney, that the other leaders of the world’s biggest economies will understand his sudden departure.
“I have to be back as soon as I can,”
he said. “I wish I could stay until tomorrow, but they understand, this is big stuff.” The sudden decision to depart came right after Trump declined to join a joint statement from the G7 for both Israel and Iran to de-escalate, and after his Truth Social post warning the residents of Iran’s capital and most populous city, Tehran, to evacuate. The French president, Emmanuel Macron, said Trump left the summit to work on a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
“U.S. assured they will find a ceasefire and since they can pressure Israel, things may change,”
Macron told the reporters at the G7. But the US president slammed his French counterpart in his Truth Social post:
“Publicity seeking President Emmanuel Macron, of France, mistakenly said that I left the G7 Summit, in Canada, to go back to D.C. to work on a ‘cease fire’ between Israel and Iran. Wrong! He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire. Much bigger than that. Whether purposely or not, Emmanuel always gets it wrong. Stay Tuned!”

Not in the Middle East. Not in Eastern Europe. We've spent $500 BILLION funding failure while Congress gets rich and the country rots from the inside out. “Over the weekend, I directed the deployment of additional capabilities to the United States Central Command Area of Responsibility,”
Hegseth said in a post on social media platform X.
“Protecting US forces is our top priority and these deployments are intended to enhance our defensive posture in the region.”
The Secretary of Defence did not share any details, but US defence sources claim that the reinforcements include over thirty US Air Force refuelling aircraft and the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz — one of the world’s largest warships. Marine Traffic, a ship-tracking website, confirmed the Nimitz was seen travelling through the Malacca Strait towards the Indian Ocean on Monday afternoon. #US #USmilitary #Hegseth #MiddleEast #Israel #Iran Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Donald Trump issues terrifying warning: “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to issue a warning amid ongoing hostilities between Israel and Iran. "Iran should have signed the "deal" I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again!" Trump posted.  Tehran has a population of nearly 10 million people. A few shots were posted on social media showing heavy traffic out of Tehran overnight. Trump’s post on Truth Social was published not long after Israel issued its own warning to people in Tehran — the same tactic was used in Gaza where Israel has killed tens of thousands of civilians. #MiddleEast #Trump #Iran #Israel #Tehran #nuclearweapon Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Minnesota shooting: suspect captured A gunman posing as a police officer fatally shot Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Saturday, after wounding state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife at their home. The suspect, Vance Boelter, has been captured and charged with two counts each of second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder. The motive isn’t yet known, but the suspect had a National-level hit list with dozens of names of prominent Democrats and figures with ties to the abortion rights movement or Planned Parenthood. If the police hadn’t engaged Boelter at Hortman’s home, the attack may have continued throughout the day. The shootings happened on a politically tense day as president Trump hosted a military parade and millions participated in No Kings protests against his administration’s increasingly authoritarian policies. #Minnesotashooting #VanceBoelter #abortionrights #PlannedParenthood #MelissaHortman #Trump #murder Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

G7 Summit: will there be a joint call on Israel and Iran? Sunday marked the beginning of a scheduled G7 meeting, where member countries — Canada (host), Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the US — will be attempting to find common ground in the rapidly escalating conflict between Iran and Israel. There isn’t much room for debate. The statement could call for de-escalation, or, which is more likely, back Israel who struck Iran first, claiming the strikes were “preemptive”, pointing to Iran’s nuclear work. Unsurprisingly, Trump has praised Israel’s strikes, even though Netanyahu openly defied his public calls to hold off on any attacks as the US sought a nuclear deal with Iran. European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen (EU is a “non-enumerated member” of G7), told the media she already spoke with Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu before the summit, and agreed that Iran was to blame. She did say that she thinks “a negotiation solution is, in the long term, the best solution”, but stopped short of calling for an immediate ceasefire. European powers all refused to criticize Israel on the Iran strikes, despite their separate concerns about the humanitarian situation in Gaza. French President Emmanuel Macron urged Iran to re-enter talks with the US, and blamed Tehran for escalating tensions over its nuclear program. Japan, on the other hand, broke ranks and denounced Israel’s strikes as “deeply regrettable”. But as the G7 countries convene in Canadian Rockies, trying to formulate a hollow statement, Israel and Iran continue to swap deadly strikes. #G7 #US #Canada #France #Germany #Italy #Japan #Britain #Israel #Iran #EU #MiddleEast Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸
