For such villages, the cemetery was a landmark both on land and from the sea, a place where life came together: celebrations, services, encounters, memories. Worsogory holds on to the Pomor way of life. People here have lived off the sea for centuries: fishing, crafts, boats, the path along the coast. Hence the special “density” of life — large houses, fences, outbuildings, the habit of relying on oneself and one’s neighbors. Therefore, the place itself, even now when there are fewer people, does not look empty: it appears austere and collected. And another important layer — preservation. The northern wooden churches last long, but only if you take care of them.
