I'd say there are several differences, and some of them are quite obvious, particularly to professional photographers. Real photos tend to capture genuine human emotions, whether it's a smile, tears, or a spontaneous expression of happiness. Having said that, the difference can be much more subtle for an ordinary person, given how accurate AI has become. In fact, some AI-generated images are now so realistic that it's extremely difficult to distinguish them from genuine photographs.

What is the difference between a real and a fake photo?
I'd say differences are various and they are obvious, especially to professional photographers. There is always an element of a human being in real photos, I mean, any feelings in the photo like smile, crying, or happiness are all natural. Having said that, the difference might be subtle for regular person, given the improved accuracy of AI. Those AI generated photos are really hard to distinguish from real ones.
