The bar graph compares six countries in terms of their financial aid, measured in billion dollars, to developing nations from 2008 to 2010.Overall, the amount of money given by majority countries rose, except for Sweden. It was the USA that made the biggest contribution during the period, while the reverse was true for Sweden.
In 2008, the US offered over $20 billion, despite a slight decrease to about $19 billion in the following year. However, this figure reached a peak of 25 billion dollars in 2010, making the country by far the largest donor. In stark contrast, Sweden allocated considerably less money, with the figure standing at just over 5 billion dollars. Despite an increase to about $8 billion in 2009, the financial assistance reached a low of $5 billion in the final year.
The figures for the remaining countries, on the other hand, were quite comparable. The UK was the only nation that showed a consistent increase, with an initial $9 billion and roughly $13 billion at the end of the period. Germany and Japan followed the same trajectory. They both started the period with the same amount at over $10 billion, followed by a moderate decline in 2009, before a respective rise to about $12 billion and $11 billion. Finally, the Netherlands contributed just over $5 billion in 2008 before the figure grew to approximately $9 billion. There was, however, a minimal drop to $8 billion in 2010.
