There was something visually striking about today’s ceremony at the White House.
President Trump, President Xi, Peng Liyuan and First Lady Melania Trump stood together on the BLUE ROOM BALCONY, watching the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon perform below them on the brand-new White House helipad.
But LOOK at the symbolism.
The silent drill…precision, discipline, absolute control, no spoken commands.
The Q helipad, positioned on the South Lawn with its granite path leading back toward the White House and Oval Office.
The BLUE ROOM BALCONY where the four watched the performance.
Trump, Xi and Peng appear in dark blue/navy tones.
MELANIA IS WEARING BLACK, She is also positioned slightly behind the other three.
And at one point, Trump raised his hand in a gesture that again looked like A Q HAND SIGNAL.
America’s President and China’s President stood together at the White House while an elite U.S. Marine ceremonial unit performed a silent drill directly below them, surrounded by the symbolism of the American presidency, the new helipad and the U.S.-China state visit.
Sometimes the most interesting part isn’t what is being said.
It’s what is being shown.

This comedy special I’m about to post had me absolutely rolling. Ari Shaffir has been one of my all time favorite comedians for over a decade. I’ve had the chance to see him perform multiple times, including in Los Angeles, at Gotham Comedy Club in New York, and at The Punch Line Comedy Club in Sacramento, where I even got to meet him and smoke with him after the show.
I couldn’t help but think about how Michael taught that “religion is going to die, and faith is going to fly,” because throughout this special, Ari makes fun of just about every religion.
This special had me absolutely busting up laughing from beginning to end. It is definitely an absolute must watch! 🍿
