Morning guys 🫶🏻 📖 Subject–Verb Agreement ✨ Indefinite pronouns such as everyone, everybody, someone, somebody, anyone, anybody, no one, nobody, each, either, neither always take a singular verb. 📝 Examples: ✅ Everyone is ready for the exam. ✅ Each of the players has a jersey. ✅ Neither of the answers is correct. ❌ Everyone are ready for the exam. ❌ Each of the players have a jersey. --- ✨ Even when followed by a plural noun, the verb remains singular. 📝 Examples: ✅ Everybody in the classrooms is listening. ✅ Each of the books belongs to the library. ❌ Everybody in the classrooms are listening. 💡 Quick Tip: Everyone / Everybody / Someone / Anyone / Nobody / Each / Either / Neither➜ Singular verb ✅ 📚 Don't let the plural noun after "of" confuse you—the verb agrees with the indefinite pronoun, not the noun. 🌟

📖 *Subject–Verb Agreement – Rule #10* 🇬🇧 ✨ Collective nouns (team, family, committee, jury, audience, etc.) usually take a singular verb when the group acts as one unit. 📝 Examples: ✅ The team is playing well today. ✅ The committee has approved the proposal. ❌ The team are playing well today. (In standard American English.) --- ✨ Use a plural verb when the members of the group are acting individually (common in British English). 📝 Examples: ✅ The team are wearing different jerseys.(British English) ✅ The family are having different opinions about the trip.(British English) ❌ The committee is arguing among themselves. (British English usage prefers are here. 💡 Quick Tip: Group acting as one➜ Singular verb ✅ Members acting individually ➜ Plural verb(mainly British English)✅ 📚 In American English, collective nouns usually take singular verbs. In British English, both singular and plural are possible depending on the meaning.🌟

(One person who is both owner and manager.) ✅ My friend and guide has arrived. (One person.) ❌ The owner and manager are attending the meeting. ✨ But if they refer to different people, use a plural verb. 📝 Examples: ✅ The owner and the manager are attending the meeting. (Two different people.) ✅ My friend and my guide have arrived. ❌ The owner and the manager is attending the meeting. 💡 Quick Tip: No repeated article/possessive ➜ Usually one person➜ Singular verb ✅ Repeated article/possessive➜ Different people➜ Plural verb ✅ 📚 Pay attention to articles (the, a, an) and possessives (my, his, her)—they can completely change the meaning! 🌟

for students yang still in highschool dalam group ni. Sebenarnya peluang ada banyak je kalau cari dekat socmed cuma kerajinan dan keberanian je perlu sikit😌. Untuk list comp sy suggest join 2 group ni: https://t.me/digitalmyofficial https://t.me/+7IziTzDb6PhjN2Vl Tips sy untuk cara competition ni is takperlu fikir just join je walaupun rasa tak dapat menang lagi” if competition tu free. Even kalau competition tu susah atleast kita ada tambahan markah koko. And also if ada duit boleh join competitions under MYSO sebab mostly competition diorang bagi adalah competition yang boleh dibawa ke international level. Macam sy dah 2 kali join dekat indon and korea waktu f5. Kalau duit tak mencukupi tu boleh je request ke sekolah untuk sponsor sikit sebab sy pun buat macamtu. Good luck semua

📚 Advanced English Mistake – C2 Level ⚡ ❌ "Had I would known the answer, I would have replied." ✅ "Had I known the answer, I would have replied." ✔️ OR ✅ "If I had known the answer, I would have replied." ✔️ 💡 In inverted conditionals, never use would after had. 🌟 Native-like English often comes from mastering these subtle structures.✨

📖 Subject–Verb Agreement – Exception to the Rule 🇬🇧 ✨ When two nouns joined by and refer to a single person, thing, or idea, use a singular verb. 📝 Examples: ✅ Bread and butter is my favorite breakfast. ✅ Fish and chips is a popular British dish. ✅ The owner and manager has arrived. (One person with two roles.) ❌ Bread and butter are my favorite breakfast. ❌ Fish and chips are a popular British dish. 💡 Quick Tip: If the two nouns represent one unit, one dish, one idea, or one person, use a singular verb. 📚 Knowing the exceptions will take your grammar to the next level!🌟

📚 Advanced English Mistake – C2 Level ⚡ ❌ "Scarcely had I entered when the phone rang." ✅ "Scarcely had I entered when the phone rang."✔️ OR ✅ "Scarcely had I entered before the phone rang." ✔️ ❌ "Scarcely had I entered than the phone rang." 💡 With "scarcely", use "when" (or sometimes "before"), not "than." Remember: No sooner... than Scarcely/Hardly... when 🌟 Small word choices can make a big difference in advanced English.
