Case -4- A 37-year-old female presents complaining of food impaction between her upper left molars following a Class II composite restoration done two weeks ago on tooth #15. She reports difficulty flossing and mild gum bleeding in that area. On clinical exam, floss shreds between #15 and #14, and radiographs confirm a distal overhang on the restoration of #15. Gingiva is inflamed in the interproximal area. Which of the following is the MOST appropriate initial approach to manage this case? A. Redo the entire composite restoration using a new matrix system B. Use a surgical blade to access and remove the overhanging excess C. Employ abrasive finishing strips threaded below the contact point to remove the overhang without damaging the contact D. Use a high-speed diamond bur interproximally to quickly trim the excess composite E. Prescribe chlorhexidine mouthwash and monitor the patient for 2 weeks
