🎲 FREE BOARD GAME Thanks to these games the students learn to use not only vocabulary, but also grammar in context, coming up with funny, serious, true or false sentences with a variety of parts of speech. Suitable for any age. The rules are simple: - the players take turns rolling the dice, they move their counter to the appropriate number of squares and make up a sentence with the word. - if the answer is correct, the player stays on the spot, the wrong one returns them to the previous position or they make one step back. We offer you one more engaging option 👇 All you need is one dice per pair / mini group (throw twice), and if you don't have it at hand, then the students can just call 2 random numbers (from 1 to 6) and each time look for an appropriate square on the board. Weak students can only name verb forms (2nd or 3rd, depending on the tense you’re teaching them at the moment), and stronger students must also make sentences with the verbs. The students look at the picture, recall the names of objects and write them down in the appropriate columns, and then compare the lists in pairs and talk about their house or the one in the picture, using the key grammar structures - There is/There are, as well as some prepositions of the place: "There is a bookshelf near the sofa. There is a coffee table between 2 armchairs" etc. > Option 2. The students look at the picture for 1 minute (more or less), then bend the sheet so that the house is not seen and write those items that they managed to remember. To complicate the task, ask them to add colours or quantity (e.g., a yellow frigde, 2 armchairs, a blue towel etc). Then they compare the results in pairs. How to use: 💡 Divide the children into pairs. The first player looks at the task, selects a picture and names it, for example: an apple/ a grandma/ a boy/ a book/ a girl/ Helen etc., and their partner (without seeing the pictures) must remember the appropriate pronouns.
