Wyd if a guy invites you home after a date but he lives in a communist ceauşescu era public housing flat and as he opens his apartment window to light up a marlboro you catch a glimpse of his neighbour (a 7-storey tall Taco Bell advertisement)
Need Gordon Ramsay and Anthony Bourdain to collab on a YouTube video trying all the restaurants in Singapore that use ai generated images of food
Is anyone interested in hearing how differently Serbians vs Singaporeans pronounce the word burger
First person in my bloodline to prepare a GP class while listening to hard techno in Transylvania

I visited some castles today, including the set of evermore academy in Wednesday ( Netflix show )
I convinced someone to drive me to Sarajevo so I can stand on the spot where archduke Ferdinand was shot & consequently started WW1
At my first ever concert in Singapore I didn’t know what to wear and someone told me it was going to be hot in the standing pen so I wore my fucking RI CCA jersey to a Billie Eilish concert
(I found this picture of the RI cross country jersey on Google so you can imagine how stupid I looked)
GP topics i can teach an entire class on
- the death penalty
- plane crashes
- “made in china” labels
- propaganda
- 9/11
- productivity culture
- drugs
And a lot more, I’m really excited for the 2027 GP classes
I was talking to one of my friends’ dad who is a judge in Serbia
He was telling me about a case he judged recently in which a 21 year old girl was caught at Belgrade airport with 22kg of cannabis
He sentenced her to 4 years in jail
Which blew my mind because if she’d been caught with 22kg of cannabis in ultra draconian Singapore, that would’ve probably been like ten death sentences….
Today a BBC journalist asked me if i think Singapore’s initiative to pay people to read will work & I flat out said no, but i have a better idea
Our government needs to pump all that money into Book Clubs. To get people to read, you need to make reading social instead of just monetarily rewarding
Singaporeans are hungry for community and WILL flock to book clubs, just look at all the Singaporeans flocking to run clubs (some of them don’t even like running, they just want to meet new people!)
Engage a few academics to host each book club session, rent out a little cafe (support small businesses at the same time) & assign a book a few weeks before
Plus you can also fix the problem of our declining fertility rate at the same time if you separate the book clubs by age range 🤓 meeting your future partner at a book club is so much more romantic and organic than a government run dating app btw
Also you can assign feminist literature as book club reading to weed out any incels
If anything, people will always show up for free food
NLB and MSF pls email me 🩷
I learnt way more about the Ottoman Empire & vlad the impaler’s torture and execution methods than I’m comfortable with today 😭😭😭 then I had to go into a haunted castle while my tummy was churning from all those images and a scare actor poked me 😭😭

Look at this handsome boy just wandering around in a Transylvanian market
I learnt today that many of the stray dogs I’ve been seeing in Romania are actually sheepdogs that their shepherds leave to fend for themselves in the winter 😕😕 because bears hibernate in winter so the sheepdogs aren’t needed to protect the sheep unlike in the summer
