You're going to hear me echoing this message a lot, but if you haven't started preparing for what is ahead, please do whatever is in your capacity from now.
Whether it be food, water, comms, energy (not depending on the grid), those who fortify themselves from now will be in a much better position, even a few months from now.
I don't share much about my personal life often, but I'll share that especially over the past few months, none of my investment has gone towards "wants," but rather needs. By needs I mean keeping animals, growing food, being as self-sufficient as possible and depending on the system as little as possible.
I've discovered ways to preserve eggs. I've discovered natural treatments I didn't know existed. I've got a plan for growing certain plants that may help in times where medicine may be challenging to obtain, or natural means are preferred.
I am completely aware of how difficult it is to start that process, having moved literal countries just before really kicking into high gear. It's not easy, in some ways can be expensive, it takes time, research, energy, and a lot of work. But I'll tell you all that it is the most rewarding thing I have done to date, apart from our core work in media.
I don't have it all figured out yet, nor have I reached all of my self-sufficiency goals, but every day I try to do a little bit extra. It gives me so much peace knowing that each day I am a little bit more in control than I was the day before, and even half a degree of separation from the system brings a whole lot of relief.
My greatest desire is to witness a reality where no matter what is happening in the world, no one is sitting in a government bread line depending on the state for XYZ. That is a nightmare scenario. Living at the behest of the beast is a grotesque existence, and I want it for absolutely no one.
I don't want to be a "doomer," I want to be a realist. And at the end of the day, even if the energy crisis (real or manufactured) doesn't hit the way some are saying, you'll be all the more better off for becoming self-sufficient anyway, especially in light of the plans to link your access to food, water, energy, and basic human rights based on your compliance with whatever they tell us to do next.
So today, I recommend dedicating 30 minutes to brainstorming what little steps you can take towards that goal. Maybe you can grow a small garden, keep 2 chickens, form a relationship with a nearby farmer, get a plan together with people you trust. If you've done all of that, great! What can you do next?
If all of us practice this regularly, we are much harder to control - and that in itself is the biggest win we have.

| 12 | 2/ Maybe your rates won't go up, but your access to power will become limited. Of course, that is not explicitly addressed in the Pledge or by any formal laws, by the way, which could exist to hold big tech accountable... but they don't.
Not to mention the light pollution, noise pollution, hoarding of water, contamination of water, EMF and God knows what else, and if they were to not have the maximum demand required available, then there would presumably be another electricity plant being built in the town that they wouldn't have needed in the first place, and ALL in the middle of an ongoing energy crisis.
It's low-IQ slop like this which keeps people in a complete daze, boiling the frog while they are actually in the process of being cooked alive.

They completely ignore facts that make promises like these unlikely such as;
- The relationship with government and big tech (it's the same thing) that always works for their benefit
- The fact that no one is ever held accountable if they DON'T keep their word
- On the technical side, the language of the Ratepayer Protection Pledge, which of course most of the people in the OP's comments haven't read, says, "these companies will build, bring, or buy the new generation resources and electricity needed to satisfy their energy demands." This CAN translate to: they can buy up the power grid to use as they please. AKA BlackRock buying up power companies as we speak to hoard resources from the people

How many J6 protestors went to prison for what Trump said was a stolen election? His entire promise was retribution. Then the announcement was, “actually, China did it,” followed by “and we’re not going to do a thing about it.”
