Unlike Nepal, your country is increasingly comprised of people that do not identify with you on a cultural or biological level. This is one major factor that has me convinced that a peaceful political movement is NOT enough to get a better administration — one that actually represents us — into positions of government power. Peaceful demonstrations have their place, but will certainly not prevent what seems to be inevitable: political violence. So anyone using Nepal to say that OUR gun rights don’t matter here in the West aren’t just being disingenuous, they’re saying that we can share a system/country with people that will do everything they can to kill us all.

Let’s check in on Nepal, because allegedly these Gen Z Nepalese protesters “overthrew” their government or something. It doesn’t look like they really overthrew anything, they just threw a strong enough tantrum to get social media bans lifted and a PM to resign. 🥱 Otherwise, it appears it’ll be business as usual for Nepal, a third world country that no one should actually care about at all. With all this talk about shootings and people getting stabbed, It’s important to remember that the United States is a very large country — something is always happening somewhere. The reality (at least for now) is that you’re still more likely to be struck by lightning or killed by a doctor than you are to be just shot by a mass shooter or stabbed.
