😅vDOT is starting to outperform native DOT staking. Average native DOT staking APY is currently around 2.85%. vDOT APY has reached 3.34%, roughly 0.5 percentage points higher, following recent optimizations to validators. And there’s more to come. 914M DOT is now staked on Polkadot, a new all-time high. But staking more DOT doesn't automatically mean earning more. Polkadot staking economics have changed: - Slashing is gone, - Validator commission is zero, - And nominator yields have come down . This makes another part of the equation more important: validator economics. Validators still earn rewards based on their role in securing the network. How those rewards are retained, compounded, and ultimately used is becoming part of how the market evaluates validators. This is also where vDOT sees its next yield upgrade. Bifrost is already running its own Polkadot validators. The next step is to bring part of that validator-side value back to vDOT holders. The mechanism is coming soon, with one simple goal: Make vDOT yield higher than native DOT staking ↗️. All while keeping the same foundation: every vDOT is backed by underlying staked DOT. Over the past weeks, Bifrost has completed several Runtime Upgrades to strengthen the protocol. bbBNC rewards are now fully restored. Reward weight calculations have been corrected, and historical rewards have been reconciled accordingly. Any missing rewards have been credited, while previously claimed rewards remain unchanged. Farming has also resumed on the Bifrost Dapp for unaffected pools. The vulnerability identified in the recent Farming incident has been addressed, alongside additional safeguards to further strengthen the system. Affected pools remain paused as a precaution, while fund tracing and recovery efforts continue with our security partners. We’ll keep improving the protocol and moving each affected service forward with security as the priority.

We have completed our technical investigation into the farming incident and confirmed the root cause. The vulnerability has been fixed, with additional security measures now being implemented. vDOT remains fully backed, and its underlying reserves were unaffected. Hyperbridge Asset Recovery Registration is Now Open Users holding vETH or MANTA on Bifrost affected by the Hyperbridge incident can now register their Ethereum receiving address directly through the Bifrost dApp. Once registered, asset recovery and reissuance to Ethereum will be processed through onchain governance. The final distribution timing will depend on the governance process.

Farming Exploit Update Bifrost has identified a security incident affecting three farming pools: vDOT Single Token Farming, vASTR/ASTR, and vMANTA/MANTA. The incident was isolated to the shared keeper vaults used by these pools. Other Bifrost products remain unaffected, and vDOT continues to be fully backed 1:1. As a precaution, all farming pools have been temporarily paused while we conduct a comprehensive security review. Our team has traced the fund flow on-chain, contacted the relevant exchanges with formal freeze and recovery requests, and filed a report with law enforcement. Asset recovery efforts and the investigation are ongoing. Affected users do not need to take any action at this time. Users can connect the same EVM wallet to Bifrost Dapp to manage their assets, including redemption and bridging back to Polkadot AssetHub. 2/ Ethereum vETH has been restored through on-chain transactions. All vETH from L2s has been migrated back to Ethereum. Minting and redemption services to be reopened soon. 3/ HP_ETH, HP_BASE_ETH, HP_ARB_ETH, and HP_OP_ETH have been converted 1:1 into Snowbridge ETH and can now be used normally. 4/ For users holding vETH and vMANTA on Bifrost A governance-based migration process is expected to open in August 2026, allowing users to move their assets from Bifrost to Ethereum. 📱post

After a comprehensive review, Bifrost will discontinue the use of Hyperbridge and begin an on-chain asset migration process for affected users. vDOT and vETH will be restored based on verified on-chain balances Hyperbridge ETH on Bifrost will be replaced 1:1 with Snowbridge ETH vETH and vMANTA redemption will open in August All process will be executed transparently through governance and multisig. Everything is coming together for vDOT. Polkadot's 2-day unbonding is now live, giving vDOT a faster redemption cycle and no slashing. Bifrost passed a new proposal takes vDOT to zero fees: 0% commission and 0% unstaking fee, so holders keep 100% of the staking yield. Next up: A new vDOT incentive campaign is coming soon.
