UPESSC has released Advertisement No. 04/2026 for 1936 Assistant Professor posts across 42 subjects, including Botany and Zoology.
If you have an MSc and a NET or SET, this notification is worth reading properly, not just skimming. Ph.D. holders are eligible too, but a doctorate isn't the entry bar here.
Swipe through for the numbers that matter for Life Science candidates: 104 posts in Botany, 93 in Zoology, and another 60+ spread across Agricultural Botany, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Entomology, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture and related streams — 257+ openings in total. And it's not limited to candidates with a Botany or Zoology degree on paper: UPESSC's own allied-subject list means an MSc in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Environmental Science or Fisheries also qualifies you.
Pay band is Level-10 (₹57,700–₹1,82,400). Applications opened 8 September, fee payment closes 7 October, and the written exam is on 19–20 November 2026.
