I was very happy to receive this book from Shaykh Ruzwan Mohammed. It is an excellent and highly readable translation of a 19th century textbook on the rules of worship and personal religious practice by the son of Ibn 'Abidin, one of the greatest jurists of the late Ottoman era, and author of the most important work in the late Hanafi school. Shaykh Ruzwan's Foreword demonstrates his scholarship and erudition, masha'allah. This is a must-have reference-work for every Muslim.

How to Be Sincere With Other People: Lesson from the ansar of madina (Taksim Mosque Cultural Center)

When the Prophet made hijra from Mecca to Medina, they came with nothing. They left all their family houses and everything behind. When they came to Medina, the people of Medina who are known as the Ansar, they gave to them. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) paired between the Ansar and Muhajirun, and he said you are the brother of so and so. And they split their wealth between them, they said take half my wealth, take half my house, take half of everything. But they didn't just split but they went further. Allah says in the Quran that they preferred the Muhajirun over themselves even if they had very little . In this lecture Shaykh Hamza elaborates on this, and show how sincerity looks when dealing with other people, and how sincerity looks when dealing with your children.
