☝🏻 Thanks, Blue Screen. I’m flattered you’d like to hear my thoughts. I will pray about it and see where the Holy Spirit leads me 🙂 Dearest Friends - Funny how things work sometimes… I’ve been pondering if I should post this or not then Blue Screen shares his comment so perhaps it’s time: You’re welcome to ask questions and I will do my best to answer. Some of you have already asked questions here and there though I’m not sure I responded to all. Ask away! Be patient with me responding because you know, I got kids. Who interrupt me like 1,708,136 times a minute. And when I’m not being interrupted, I like to bake cookies and nap. Have a beautiful Sunday. God loves you.

ThinMint, I’d love to see you write something about truth!!

Some good news coming up next! In the meantime... As I worked on the kid's sale a few days ago, I listened to the documentary, "Enemies Within The Church." I've been disillusioned with The Church for a long time now so this caught my attention. As it started, one twin came into the room and started watching it. Soon the other twin joined. And I'm so glad they did stay! I was presented with quite a few teachable moments throughout so I would hit pause so we could discuss some issues further. Because it covers some controversial cultural issues, I recommend this for older/high school students. At least until you've reviewed and judged it for yourself. In a nutshell, it discusses "woke" pastors, institutions, preaching. Look for those teachable moments and dig deeper with your kiddos if you watch it with them. This documentary helped me realize what I need to be doing -for myself, my family and my sphere of influence. It's lengthy, but worth it, in my humble opinion. Perfect to listen to while you're working on a project around the home! https://www.bitchute.com/video/9A3H0qM4k7lx/

Hi Mom. Some of the nicer things about me I get from you: silliness, baking, striking up conversations with total strangers, caring, long lasting friendships, teary eyes when the Star Spangled Banner plays... The things about me that drive you crazy like my Stubborn Stuff™, tenacity and asking a million questions, it all serves me well. Take comfort in this. Thank you for applying Proverbs 22:6. Even though our views sometimes diverge, our love will always converge. Yes, children are a gift from the Lord. It doesn’t get said often enough: so are moms for their children. I love you.

My mom has long marveled in what she believes is me not paying attention to the media and what’s happening in the world. She misses the point: I am well aware of what’s happening; I ignore Leviathan on the Potomac and live my life.

"We must not amuse ourselves with the notion that we have done something when we have only formed a good resolution. Power comes by doing and not by resolving." Charlotte Mason

👆🏻 Kids when you throw away papers with their scribble scrabbles on it
👆🏻 Kids when you throw away papers with their scribble scrabbles on it

Working on the Less Is More for weeks on end… I am now facing down a giant in front of me: memories. Specifically, memories of my kids’ younger days. Drawings, crafts, stuffed animals, books, toys –all of these having varying degrees of wellness. Some items are ripped, stained, missing pieces. But, all tug at my Mom Heart. All cause tears to well up behind closed eyes as I remember. Items that brought joy, that caused siblings to bicker, that were lost then found. At times I am torn. What do we do with the items that stir up our memories, that cause our hearts to leap, that make us pause? How do we make peace with letting go? Sometimes letting go hurts. (Or sometimes holding on hurts more than letting go.) Sometimes we need to bless others with what was once fanciful, fabulous or fine for us. Sometimes we just need to say thank you to the Lord for all He has allowed us to experience. Even in the midst of the cleaning, the purging, the re-arranging, the organizing, the donating, the selling –we need Jesus. Always Jesus.

WHITE CHICKEN CHILI 2 cans Great Northern beans (rinsed and drained) 1 can of chicken broth (about 14 oz) 2 cans of chicken (about 1+ pounds of chicken, drained) 1 sweet onion (finely chopped) 1 cup of sour cream 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream spices to taste Sauté onions with butter and a little bit of olive oil. Add chicken when onions are about halfway done. Add spices to taste (I used garlic, black pepper, paprika, oregano). While this is cooking, add broth and beans to pot, simmer low. When onion mixture is done, add to broth mixture. Spice as needed. Add sour cream and heavy whipping cream. When chili is heated through, it's ready to serve.
