For years, the Chinese Communist Party has been engaged in propaganda warfare against America.
Should the U.S. government use its state-funded news networks as a soft power tool to go on the offensive against the CCP and other authoritarian regimes?
"The budget is something like $900 million...It's really a potent tool, and it's designed to promote American ideas and values abroad,” says Michael Pack, the former head of the US Agency for Global Media.

"R.J. Reynolds and Philip Morris bought up the food companies long ago.
And they saw there was this opportunity to diversify their portfolio, because they saw consumption of tobacco go down.
And they said, ‘We can use the same science for food, to make it addictive. And we can make cheap, food-like substances and put chemicals in it, and people will eat it.
And we will make a lot of money.’”- Vani Hari

"The question is, did [the doctor] bring up food? Are you using food in your equation when you're diagnosing? How do you know what is causing what? Are you looking at the side effects from the medications? Maybe you’re just treating the side effects of the medication with another medication, and we go round and round. When you treat symptoms and not root causes, you don't really improve health." - Eric Berg, also known as Dr. Berg or “The Knowledge Doc”

People tend to think of green drinks when they hear the word "superfoods."
But there's a better, more nutrient-dense superfood, which is very bioavailable: red meat, says Eric Berg, also known as “The Knowledge Doc.”
"When you reduce carbohydrates, it then forces your body to go after your own fat as fuel. And so for weight loss, it's great. And for other things, it's good too.”

"The more technology use, the more lonely people feel in a country.
…Hannah Arendt said: Totalitarian leaders can only seize control in a society where a lot of people feel lonely.
…Once people feel lonely, people are very vulnerable to propaganda. And a new type of mass emerged in the 20th century…a lonely mass, where people no longer have to meet physically to form a mass, but could form a mass while they were all sitting in a lonely state in their houses, because they were all infused by the same narratives through the mass media."

British MP and former Home Secretary Suella Braverman argues the UK needs to return to a merit-based society and have only two recognized genders of male & female.
"An unapologetic, robust approach to your southern border is exactly what we need on our southern border. We have a crisis when it comes to illegal migration in the United Kingdom,” she says.

“This has been an open secret in these towns. The authorities have been aware. The teachers have been aware…Ultimately, they didn't want to be called racist, and they were fearful.”
MP and former UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman on the UK's grooming gangs scandal: “There was an institutional cowardice on the part of the police, on the part of social workers, on the part of teachers, on the part of elected officials who knew about this…and did nothing,” she says.

Cooper Davis on building a new model for helping drug-addicted individuals:
"To people who will say this is utopian, this is unrealistic, I would point to the success of something like Alcoholics Anonymous. That's a peer-to-peer organization. It's also a movement. It changed how we understand addiction completely. It is non-hierarchical. It is decentralized. There are no power players. Anyone can start a meeting wherever they live. There is no reason that this shouldn't exist for a broader group of people.”

"A 50/50 rebuttable presumption just means that the presumption should be that each parent is going to get equal time, or, more importantly, the child's going to get equal time with both of those parents [in custody cases].
The word 'rebuttable' means a judge still has judicial discretion. So, it's not a rubber stamp. The opposition always tries to say, 'Well, you're going to rubber stamp and force every kid to get 50/50, which means abusive parents.'
No, no, no, no. A judge has what's known as 'determining factors' that they look at to find out: is a parent fit, willing and able? If not, that removes the presumption." - Mark Ludwig

"When the FDA is approving these drugs so that doctors can prescribe them, generally, it's on the basis of studies that run from six to eight weeks. Very rarely is anybody taking a psychiatric drug of any kind for eight weeks. People take them for years - sometimes decades,” says Cooper Davis, executive director of the Inner Compass Initiative.
"Experiential expertise - expertise gained from your own life, is just as valid, and probably more useful in many, many cases, than clinical expertise.”

“We told the Chinese government [in 2019] - and this goes to your point, 'So, you've got to stop the exports of finished fentanyl to the United States.' And the Chinese government effectively did that.
Then, it started allowing the exports of the precursors to go into the United States. Between 2019 and 2024, [we are] begging China to please stop the exports of illicit fentanyl precursors to the United States through Mexico or whatever means.
Finally, the Chinese say, in July 2024, 'I will stop the exports of three - not the hundreds of others, just the exports of three.' The US government says, 'Wow, victory! Great! Pat on the back'...Remember, China can ban it because it banned the exports of finished fentanyl into the United States." - Nazak Nikakhtar

We have a special guest today: The President of Paraguay Santiago Peña.
Paraguay is a very unique country. It is one of only 12 countries in the world that recognize Taiwan, instead of communist China.
It is also one of only six nations in the world, alongside the United States, that have moved their embassies from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. President Peña made the decision despite immense opposition from other world leaders.
Since President Peña assumed office, Paraguay has seen strong economic growth. Last year, Moody’s awarded Paraguay an investment grade rating.
In this episode, we sit down for a deep dive with President Peña to understand what drives him and the decisions he's made.

We asked the President of Paraguay Santiago Peña what he thinks about the uproar surrounding Trump's comments about the Panama Canal:
His response: Many people fail to understand Trump's strategy.
"[Trump] wants to know that the US is being treated fairly, that that asset that was built almost a century ago with the resources of the US…remains a viable source of prosperity and growth for the Americas and the region—and not a tool for the expansion of the Chinese trade."
China’s influence on the canal, as with a lot of infrastructure in Latin America, puts international trade and U.S. trade at risk, he says.
Paraguay is one of only 12 countries that recognizes Taiwan & not communist China.

“If we discover that something causes autism or something causes obesity or something is causing all these things, that's going to disrupt multibillion dollar business models.
So those people who are engaged in those multibillion dollar business models, they don't want to discover it.
They don't want their ingredient or their activity to be implicated or proven to cause all these ailments, driving up our cost of health care.”
“Bobby Kennedy's first task is to bring integrity back to scientific research across the board, and then we need to end the corporate capture of these federal agencies and that corruption,” says Sen. Ron Johnson.

"People think that they might shoot a missile or something...I don't believe that's how China really operates. I think they would operate unconventionally, and most likely operate with and through their partners in the region...Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela." - Joseph Humire
Following Trump's comments that America controlling the Panama Canal, the Panama Maritime Authority announced an audit of Hong Kong-based port operator CK Hutchison Holdings, which controls ports near the Canal.

"The question we would have to have with Panama is: Do you truly, verifiably, know everything that China is doing in regards to your canal for national security concerns?"
Trump is right about the Panama Canal, says Joseph Humire, expert on asymmetric warfare.
The U.S. needs to have more transparency from Panama on China's activities, he says. "I think that's where the conversation is at today," he says.

"Science is a constant hypothesis. Science is asking taboo, unpopular questions. Science is researching areas we're told not to look into. That's science. I believe…that the Trump administration is going to go down in history books as a return to science. There has been an absolute war on science, where people say that we can't ask questions. People say that we should be locking down schools, wearing masks, and causing a generation of developmental issues with kids. The war on science has happened from the captured medical industrial complex that profits when people are sick." - Calley Means
