Becoming Right-Wing in the West is basically a form of de-indoctrination. People realize that the Leftist bullshit they were fed by media & education doesn't match reality, and that the Left exclusively represents gross misfits and outcasts whose only desire is to destroy society and steal resources from normal people. I think it also requires a certain biological predisposition. High conscientiousness, strong disgust response, low neuroticism, high in-group preference, and so on. Conversely, Leftists are biologically predisposed towards neurotic and sociopathic behaviors, low agreeableness, low in-group preference, etc.
