It blends the psychedelic riff-porn ofΒ LoreΒ andΒ ReflectionsΒ with the atmospheric synth prog ofΒ Innate PassageΒ and even sharpens its approach with the more discernible structures ofΒ Omens. More importantly, it captures the sense of wonder and transcendence that has always madeΒ ElderΒ special, delivering some of the most rewarding music of their career in the process.

Captivating in its beauty and unimaginably deep in how it communes with the darkest pits of the soul, all throughout this gorgeous record are we treated to a masterful juxtaposition of raw suffering and calculated heaviness brought together in such a form that can be tear-inducing.
