Deribit. Always Open.🚨 Coinbase Index Price Methodology Update
Effective today, 23 October 2026, the Coinbase Index methodology for the Anthropic (ANTH) and OpenAI (OPENAI) perpetual indices has been updated.
The indices no longer use previous external price sources. Going forward, they will use a 30-minute EMA only.
For more information, see our RWA Perpetual Support Page.

🚨 Coinbase Index Price Methodology Update
Effective Wednesday 4 November 2026 14:00 UTC, Deribit will implement a change to the Coinbase crypto index calculation used for crypto perpetual contracts.
The final index price aggregation will change from the equal-weighted average of qualifying Derived Market Prices (DMPs) to the median of those DMPs.
This change is intended to reduce the impact of individual price-source spikes on the index, particularly for less-liquid crypto assets.
The calculation of each venue’s DMP and the existing source validation checks remain unchanged. Only the final aggregation step is changing.
This median-based approach is already used for Deribit’s real-world asset perpetuals.
For more information, please refer to the Coinbase Index Price Methodology.

🚨 Linear USDC Perpetuals Spec Update
On Tuesday 27 October, 2026, 9:00 AM UTC Deribit will implement changes to the tick size for the following Linear USDC perpetuals across both on-screen order books and block trades:
POL · DYDX · ATOM · RESOLV · PENDLE
The tick size will be reduced for these markets to improve tradability and support increased volume.
From 27 October, new orders that do not conform to the updated
tick sizes will be rejected.
Orders that conform to the current specifications will continue to conform automatically, but traders should update their systems in advance to avoid unexpected behaviour.
The changes apply to new and existing orders and do not affect existing positions.
The updated specifications are available on the Linear Perpetuals support page.
Deribit. Always Open.
