"ခွင့်ပြုပါတယ်" တစ်ခုခုလုပ်ဖို့အတွက် ခွင့်ပြုချက်ပေးတယ်၊ ဒါမှမဟုတ် တစ်ခုခုလုပ်မှာကို မတားထားဘူး ဆိုတာကို ပြောဖို့ allow, permit နဲ့ let တို့ကို သုံးလို့ရပါတယ်။ permit က formal ဖြစ်တဲ့ စကားလုံးပါ။ allow နဲ့ permit ကို အရင်ကြည့်ရအောင်။ 💟 allow နဲ့ permit ရဲ့နောက်မှာ object နဲ့ to-infinitive ပုဒ်စု လိုက်ပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ 🔸 He allowed me to take the course. သူက ကျွန်တော့်ကို သင်တန်းတက်ခွင့်ပြုတယ်။ 🔸 They do not permit the students to use calculators in exams. ကျောင်းသားတွေကို စာမေးပွဲတွေမှာ ဂဏန်းတွက်စက်သုံးခွင့် မပြုဘူး။ ဒီစကားလုံးတွေကို passive ပုံစံနဲ့ သုံးလည်း ရပါတယ်။ လူတွေကို လုပ်ခွင့်မပြုဘူး၊ people are not allowed / permitted to do something စသည်ဖြင့်ပေါ့။ ဥပမာ 🔹 Visitors are not allowed to take photographs in the museum. ဧည့်သည်တွေကို ပြတိုက်ထဲမှာ ဓာတ်ပုံရိုက်ခွင့် မပြုဘူး။ 🔹 Children are not permitted to use the swimming pool. ကလေးတွေကို ရေကူးကန်သုံးခွင့် မပြုထားဘူး။ တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို လုပ်ခွင့်မပြုတာကိုလည်း ပြောလို့ ရပါတယ်။ something is not allowed / permitted စသည်ဖြင့်။ 🔸 Running is not allowed in the school. ကျောင်းထဲမှာ ပြေးတာကို ခွင့်မပြုဘူး။ 🔸 Picnics are not permitted in the park. ပန်းခြံထဲမှာ ပျော်ပွဲစားထွက်တာတွေကို ခွင့်မပြုဘူး။ let အကြောင်းကိုလည်း ကြည့်ရအောင်။ ♦️ let ရဲ့နောက်မှာ object နဲ့ infinitive လိုက်တယ်။ ဒါပေမဲ့ to မပါဘူးနော်။ ဥပမာ 🔹 I doubt my parents will let me go. ငါ့ရဲ့မိဘတွေက ငါ့ကို သွားခွင့်ပြုပါ့မလားလို့ သံသယဖြစ်မိတယ်။ let ကိုတော့ passive မှာ သုံးလေ့မရှိဘူး။ ဒါကြောင့် She was let go to the party. စသည်ဖြင့် ပြောလို့ မရဘူး။ ခွင့်ပြုတယ်ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပာယ်ချင်းတူတာတောင် သုံးစွဲပုံတွေ မတူတာ သတိထားမိမယ်နော်။ နှိုင်းယှဉ်ကြည့်ရင် ဒီလိုပုံစံလေးတွေ တွေ့မယ်။ ✅ allow + object + to-infinitive ✅ permit + object + to-infinitive ✅ be allowed / permitted to do something (Passive) ✅ let + object + infinitive without to ခုပြောခဲ့တဲ့ စကားလုံးတွေကို enable ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလုံးနဲ့ မရောထွေးပါနဲ့။ enable ကို အင်္ဂလိပ်လို ရှင်းလင်းချက်လေး ကြည့်မယ်ဆိုရင် ♦️ To enable someone to do something means to give them the opportunity to do it.
