Narendra Modi @75: Transformation in the Present Continuous
Ever since Narendra Modi made his bid for Prime Minister in 2013, his tenor and content of his promised transformation has been consistent in both promise and delivery. It was also an unabashed declaration of the end of the old ways — schismatic vote-hunting, secularism, corruption, cowardice, and communism.
Modi’s new charter was premised on civilisational strength, which was left to lie dormant and allowed to decay for seven decades. Till date, the most vicious denouncers of Modi denounce him for precisely this reason: his candid projection of strength and his willingness to deploy it both at home and abroad.
Few people realise the kind of global clout that India wields under Modi’s leadership thanks to the engineered chaos on social media and on the ground.
India's reassertion of self-confidence is essentially rooted in its Hindu civilisational mettle, which Modi has harnessed with aplomb. Above all, Narendra Modi has been a catalyst for recovering our cultural heft and a unifier that an India, splintered under secularism, had been awaiting.

Ghar-Wapsi in an Era of Mounting Losses and Existential Crisis: The Conclusion
The concluding episode of this series offers some suggestions regarding Ghar-Wapsi and some measures to counter the existential threat faced by the Hindu community. An excerpt is given below.
---
The Hindu community has been the greatest victim of Indian democracy because the Indian Constitution has no solid philosophical and spiritual edifice.
I dread to see a day when:
1. The Sringeri Matha is rechristened as OUR CHURCH OF THE HOLY ST. ADI SEBASTIAN - Adi Sankara
2. Srisailam as THE HOLY CHURCH OF ST. MICHAEL — Mallikarjuna Swamy
3. Tirumala as THE SACRED MOUNT OF ST. VALENTINE — Venkateshwara Swamy
I hope I never live to see the day.

Ghar-Wapsi Celebrated in Contemporary Indian Literature
The titan of Kannada literature, Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa has beautifully infused Parāvartana in several of his acclaimed novels, chiefly in Dharmashri, Tabbaliyu Neenaade Magane, Saartha and Aavarana.
In Saartha, a Hindu woman forcibly impregnated by Turushka savages marries Nagabhatta and both of them rear the child in her womb as a Hindu. This clearly agrees with Devala in letter, spirit and action.
Today, we find it hard to understand the magnitude of the loss sufferred by the Hindu society when India was partitioned in 1947. This was an irrecoverable blow and loss which few people today can fathom. 😔🛕🕉🪔

Ten Random Subhashitas of Bharthari
Owing to the repeated requests from our readers, we've published a random selection of ten Bhartrhari Subhashitas from both his Niti and Vairagya Shatakas. These are given in the original Sanskrit followed by a transliterated English version along with an English translation.
Here's a sample.
Wealth is fleeting, breath is fleeting, life is fleeting and youth is fleeting. In this world of movable and immovable life forms, only Dharma is stable, permanent.

Ghar-Wapsi in the Vijayanagara and Maratha Empire and Gandhi’s Betrayal of Hindus
In 1398, a mass Ghar-Wapsi ceremony was conducted in the city of Vijayanagara in which forcibly converted Hindu men and women were readmitted to the Hindu society. This unknown episode has largely been overlooked even by the authentic scholars of Vijayanagara history.
The next great epoch of Shuddhi occurred with the timely arrival of Swami Dayananda Saraswati. His most illustrious disciple, Swami Shraddhananda’s mass Shuddi campaigns unnerved the Muslim clergy throughout northern India and they had him murdered.
But to his eternal shame, Gandhi declared that he would work for the remission of the death sentence of Abdul Rashid, Shraddananda’s murderer. The conclusion is inescapable — Muslim appeasement, and not the safety of the Hindu society was topmost on the phoney Mahatma’s nonviolent mind.

Ghar-Wapsi: Meos, Malkana Rajputs and a Saga of Missed Opportunities
Ghar-Wapsi of converted Hindus was a continuous process until it suddenly stopped due to the depleted vigour of the Hindu society.
In the early centuries of incessant alien Muslim aggressions, Shuddhi was rather swift and easier because no raider had the capacity to establish an independent Muslim empire on the soil of Bharatavarsha.
But as Muslim conquests spread wider and penetrated deeper and Hindu kings kept waging defensive wars, it became progressively tougher to undertake Shuddhikarana. Thus, with each defensive war, the toll of forcible Hindu conversions kept increasing. We continue to harbour this deep-seated mentality of civilisational defensiveness.

Vrātya-stōma: Schopenhauer, Emerson, Elst and Frawley
The Vrātya-stōma was the typical ceremony performed for admitting foreigners into the Sanatana society during the pre-Islamic period. It is still valid for foreigners who formally want to become Hindus. This is how the Greeks, Śakas, Huns, et al., were formally admitted into the Hindu society.
To give a contemporary analogy, an alien becoming a Hindu was akin to a Hindu who today seeks the coveted American citizenship. Even the green card — granted or denied on whim even after the Hindu has lived and served the US for a decade or longer — is no guarantee of full citizenship.
In our own time, we have the shining examples of Koenraad Elst and David Frawley. Frawley’s remarkable spiritual journey narrated in his How I Became a Hindu, is a must-read account for all born Hindus who are either ignorant of the grandeur and beauty of their own Dharma or are seduced by oily missionaries and dazzled by the resplendent facade of American materialism.
