You know what I think about often… We went from over $18 trillion in negative-yielding debt in 2020 to governments issuing record amounts of debt at some of the highest borrowing costs in years. One extreme gave way to another. There is nothing about today’s monetary system that feels normal. Perhaps the future isn’t another monetary experiment. Perhaps it’s a bond backed by gold.
