SABAH OKUMASI ⏰ The Kozai Mechanism is an astronomical phenomenon in which the gravitational influence of a distant celestial body causes periodic changes in the orbit of another object. Under specific conditions, the orbit may become increasingly elongated while its inclination also changes over time. This mechanism helps explain the unusual orbital behavior of certain asteroids, comets, exoplanets, and artificial satellites. It has become an important concept in celestial mechanics because it demonstrates how long term gravitational interactions can dramatically alter orbital dynamics without requiring direct collisions or close encounters. ————————— Kozai Mekanizması, uzaktaki bir gök cisminin kütle çekim etkisinin başka bir cismin yörüngesinde dönemsel değişikliklere yol açtığı astronomik bir olgudur. Belirli koşullar altında, bir cismin yörüngesi zamanla daha eliptik hâle gelirken yörünge eğikliği de önemli ölçüde değişebilir.
