Thus, it is critical that the faithful are kept away from the windows at all costs. This is why cultish nonsense and terror messaging like, "windows are evil", "dangerous misinformation comes through windows", " the bad man outside the window wants you dead, stay back and stay safe"... become the principle protective admonitions of the totalitarian authority. In other words, avoid any exposure to information that is not provided by us, your protectors. This is why so many despotic, oppressive political conditions have such clearly cultlike characteristics. For the totalitarian universalist, the cult mentality is the only mental state, short of coma, that can persist despite the overwhelming evidence of a contradictory reality in plain view." -Pan
