#Prelims2022 Topic-11 Important schemes in news part-1 Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Mission: The Mission seeks to achieve livelihood driven tribal development in the next five years through formation of Van Dhan groups who have been organized into Vandhan Kendras. The MFP gathered by tribals will be processed in these kendras and marketed through Van Dhan Producer Enterprises. New haats bazaar and ware houses will be developed in next 5 years as part of “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhyan”. TRIFED would be the nodal agency for implementing the scheme. The products produced will be marketed through Tribe India Stores. An amount of Rs. 1612 cr has been earmarked under the Mission for next five years. Nai Roshni scheme aims to empower and enhance confidence in Minority women by providing knowledge, tool and techniques for Leadership Development of Women. It is a six-days non-residential/five-days residential training programme conducted for the women belonging to minority community between the age group of 18 years to 65 years. The training modules cover areas related to Programmes for women, Health and Hygiene, Legal rights of women, Financial Literacy, Digital Literacy, Swachch Bharat, Life Skills, and Advocacy for Social and Behavioural changes. The scheme is being implemented through Programme Implementing Agencies/Non Governmental Organizations. The PIAs/NGOs provide hand holding to all beneficiaries for a period of 12 months after the training. “Nai Manzil” aims to benefit the minority youth (both men & women) belonging to six notified minority communities of 17-35 years of age, who do not have formal school leaving certificate, i.e., those in the category of school – dropouts or those educated in community education institutions like Madrasas. 30% of the beneficiary seats are earmarked for girl/women candidates and 5% of the beneficiary seats for persons with disability belonging to the minority community under the scheme. The scheme provides a combination of formal education (Class VIII or X) and skills, to enable beneficiaries to seek better employment and livelihood. The Scheme is implemented through selected Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) which are empanelled through an open transparent process by inviting Expression of Interest (EOIs) for organizations. Dekho Apna Desh initiative (Ministry of tourism) started in January 2020 with the objective of promoting various tourism destinations including the lesser known destinations and heritage sites of India among the citizens.

#about_life Success and failure are two sides of the same coin and equanimity does not make a difference. Equanimity requires the awareness and patience to give emotions the time they need to be expressed, quietened or dealt with. It’s the golden middle path, avoiding ups and downs and all the shades in between.
