Learning about death isn't morbid
Many people today grow up with little exposure to death. Sometimes, our first experience of loss comes only when a parent or grandparent passes away.
But attending the funeral prayer, witnessing the washing of the deceased, and participating in the burial are effective reminders of our own mortality. They strip away the distractions of this world and remind us just how brief this life really is.
