dread had this problem. the dodge/parry shit was a tedious extra step. a lot of times you could just gun enemies down like normal, but enough enemies required engaging with this mechanic that it became annoying. it's zoomer slop key jingling. add a little QTE to normal combat sometimes, but not all the time, so that way the player is forced to engage and pay attention but not doing the QTE so much that it comes across as game padding. problem is that i'm not so brainrotted that i lose focus randomly, i can pay attention to shit still.
