Board of Studies-Operations The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India 6th July, 2026 Ministry of Corporate Affairs has accorded its in-principle approval on the proposed Stipend rates payable to Articled Assistant undergoing 2 years of practical training under the New Scheme of Education & Training and draft amendment in the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. In terms of the requirement of sub-section (3) of Section 30 of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the notification containing draft amendments has been published in Part III Section 4 of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated 25th June, 2026 seeking comments from the persons likely to be affected thereby. The proposed Stipend rates payable to articled assistant undergoing 2 years of articled training have also been hosted on the website of the Institute. The government has also directed Telegram to disable its message editing feature till June 30 with the aim of avoiding evidence destruction.
