🚨 TTP Kills Pakistan Army Colonel in Targeted Attack in Dera Ismail Khan Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) opened fire on Pakistan Army Colonel Imran Dyal near Karamat Abad, within the limits of Shorkot Police Station, Dera Ismail Khan. The officer was traveling in a civilian vehicle at the time and was killed on the spot. The attackers managed to flee after the attack. The incident reflects TTP’s increasing operational maturity. Alongside improved combat capabilities, the group has developed an organized intelligence network that gathers detailed information on security personnel, including those in civilian attire or staying at their homes while on leave. Colonel Imran’s targeting while traveling in a civilian vehicle highlights the effectiveness of this network and indicates a sustained shift toward intelligence-led assassinations by TTP in the region.

‼️ Major Administrative Move in Pakistan The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has reportedly bifurcated District Swat into two districts. ❗On 26 July 2025, acting on credible intelligence, Captain Yogender Singh Thakur of 6 PARA (SF), led his squad in General Area Basantgarh, district Udhampur. Observing suspicious movement, he redeployed the ambush, advanced through dense fog under indiscriminate fire, outflanked the terrorists, and engaged in close quarter combat from 30 metres. He neutralised a hardcore Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist while preventing escape and avoiding collateral damage. He is being awarded Shaurya Chakra.
