If you are asked to choose between One Nation One Election and Women Reservation Bill (recent one), which one will you choose and why? (I said women reservation – because we have proof that it’s working – in local bodies) counter question – but there is issue of Pradhan Pati in local bodies, isn’t it? 6. You study about energy sources, tell me total installed capacity of India and the % share of each source. (I was not sure, so said >60% coal, and others are within 40% - woman member said but you didn’t tell hydro – chairman intervened saying that she said 40% is rest) 7. You have done Chemistry – what has Indian PM committed regarding chemicals in COP 21 & COP 26? (No idea- just mentioned our INDCs) Member 1 - 1. What is Green Hydrogen? What are the issues in its adoption and what can govt. do about it? 2. Is there any innovative way to tackle the transportation/ logistics issue associated with it? 3. How much expensive is it when compared to Black hydrogen? 4. Do you know REACH scheme? (No idea) 5. What potential applications do you see in green H2? Member 2 – 1. You come from Delhi-NCR, what policy solutions do you offer for its pollution problem? Do you think discouraging private vehicles can be a good option? 2. Okay, so should we opt for measures like imposing congestion fees during peak hours? Member 3 – 1. You won essay on women empowerment, what was the exact topic and what did you write in it? 2. Don’t you think looking at present circumstances; we have failed in women empowerment? 3. Recently, the Union Cabinet approved 3 things regarding farmers. What were they? ( I mentioned Agri Marketing policy, but he said no no.. one was PM FBY, tell me the other.. I said yes sir extension of DAP subsidy..) 4. So, what is the reason for doing it? Member 4 (lady member) – 1. Continuing with the discussion on women empowerment, tell me your interpretation of this statement – ‘ We have started to raise our daughters as 21st century women, but continue to raise boys in the 19th century.’ 2. (I said there are both sides to it etc.) You are playing safe here, I think there are more men who are restricting women r/t supporting. So, do you think supporting men will increase in future? 3. Do you know about the chemical weapons convention? 4. Okay, so we didn’t ask anything on IR. Recently, the Canadian PM has offered his resignation. How do you see this development in India-Canada relations? Chairman – 1. Okay, so how do you think the regime in a country, example in US now the Republicans will come to power, affects its relations with India? (I said foreign policy driven by national interests in long run, but political leadership may lead to minor modifications) 2. So, do you think Canada strained relations with India in national interest or because of political reasons? Member 2 – (Smiling) Do you have foreign service as your preference? (I think the context of this question was chairman sir’s remarks on my Canada answer- he smilingly said very good answer – not sure if it was a taunt or genuine comment) Chairman – okay, thank you. Overall experience – Very cordial board.

The board was very cordial. Giving me ample time to think and respond, even giving me cues and encouraging me like "ha aur socho". Extremely opposite of any mock interviews. I would say my interview is mostly based on DAF. Although some questions seems like current affairs based but since world affairs keyword is in my Daf so i consider those questions related to my daf only. **Mock Interview - Don't have much time so took only 3 mock - Samkalp, Chankya & Vajiram. i would suggest to give atleast 3 mock to get the hold of interview. Mocks were mainly helpful for non-verbal cues. Content wise i don't feel that mock will help you much because some mocks were too factual for me and some were very generic. **One to One Session with Rahul Sir (IAS PCS Pathshala). He spent almost 2 hours with me. His insights were excellent on how to answer questions and generate point and manage situations when you don't know the answer. Since my interview is mainly daf based his daf discussion in detail and provided potential interview questions on extracurricular activities were incredibly helpful for brainstorming different dimensions. I highly recommend everyone to have at least one session with him. Lastly I would like to thank this community for their continuous support and valuable transcripts.🙏
