Latest trends in Militancy recruitment in J&K 

🔳•The number of local youth joining militancy has dropped from about 160 in 2020 to around 20 in 2024. 🔲•The last time local militancy was this low was in 2011-12. 🔳•Security officials attribute this decline to counterinsurgency efforts, changes post-Article 370 abrogation, and a shift in militant recruitment strategies. 🔲•Pakistani handlers are reportedly driving most militant activities in J&K by pushing foreign militants into the region. 🔳•Officials state that around 90% of those recruited between 2019 and 2020 have been eliminated.
