| 10 | Everyone is talking constantly about 7s, 7.5s and 8s, underestimating scores lower. Rarely do students become genuinely happy when they score 6.0 or 6.5 mainly due to the spread of IELTS not as a language test but as a label on people.
Today, I want to talk about two very recent scores that students have been dreaming about.
Mansur - a school graduate - scored 6.5 at the very first attempt despite having to miss several classes in a row before the exam. He got the score which is enough for entrance exams.
Halimabegim - the most elegant and cheerful student I have ever had - registered only 4 days before the real exam as her decision to study in one of the international universities was abrupt. She took the test with no further preparation (our classes with them were over on 10th of June) following our final classes. Guess what score she got? 6.0!!! A solid 6.0! Now, she is very close to her dream uni!
