While Delhi hosts the BRICS Summit, the Asian Dialogue is discussing what the new world order will look like 🌐 The second day in Delhi focused on the key factors that are reshaping the global economy and international relations today. We discussed: 🟠who will benefit most from the technological revolution; 🟠whether sustainable development can be reconciled with energy security, and how the global energy market will evolve; 🟠what is happening to key transport routes and energy hubs; 🟠whether global trade is heading towards new rules of the game and, if so, what role states and international institutions will play.

The discussions brought together experts from Russia, India, Indonesia, Iran, and Kyrgyzstan. They represented organizations and research centers including IMEMO RAS, Observer Research Foundation, Esya Centre, ICRIER, Manav Rachna University, the Institute for Iran and Eurasia Studies, and others.

From Tashkent straight to Delhi! 🇮🇳 On September 9, our scientific and educational programme Asian Dialogue — 2026 kicked off in the Indian capital. The programme is organised by the Gorchakov Fund in partnership with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF). ✅ This year’s programme focuses on the shifting balance of power and the emergence of a new world order. The participants include young researchers, journalists, analysts and international affairs experts from Russia, India and other Asian countries. The first day featured the opening ceremony, followed by discussions on the transformation of the global system and the role of the Global South. Welcome remarks were delivered by: 🟠Vladimir Ladanov, Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Russia in India; 🟠Sunjoy Joshi, Chairman of the ORF; 🟠Pankaj Saran, former Deputy National Security Adviser of India; 🟠Elena Remizova, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India; 🟠Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund. Looks like Latin America just got a little closer! 🌎 The second School on Latin America has come to an end in Volgograd — a Gorchakov Fund educational and research programme dedicated to the region. The project was organised together with the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Center for Public Diplomacy at Volgograd State University. 📕 Over five days, more than 30 participants from different regions of Russia and other countries joined experts to explore how Latin America is changing and what new opportunities are emerging for Russia–Latin America cooperation. What happened at the School? ✔️ Explored the region’s politics, economics and international relations with Russian experts and diplomats ✔️ Learned how the media landscape works in Latin America ✔️ Discussed how to launch international projects and build partnerships across borders ✔️ Worked in teams on their own projects — from a nuclear medicine startup to an educational initiative ✔️ And, of course, discovered Volgograd and its historical heritage Five days, dozens of ideas, plenty of new connections — and, perhaps, even more questions about where Russia – Latin America relations are heading next. #LatinAmerica #SchoolOnLatinAmerica 1️⃣1️⃣1️⃣

Bringing Latin America Closer: Talking Public Diplomacy in Volgograd 💬🤝 🌏 Maria Prokofieva, Director of the Center for International Interaction and Cooperation (CIIC), took part in the School on Latin America, currently taking place in Volgograd. The School is organized by our friends at the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund together with the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ILA RAS) and the Center for Public Diplomacy of Volgograd State University. This year, the programme has brought together more than 30 students and young professionals to discuss the future of Russia–Latin America relations and develop their own project ideas. Maria spoke at the workshop “Bringing Latin America Closer: How Public Diplomacy Is Transforming Relations with Russia.” The discussion focused on formats that help build lasting ties between people and organizations: youth and expert exchanges, educational programmes, joint research, internships, volunteer initiatives, and humanitarian projects. Drawing on CIIC’s projects, Maria shared our approach to this work. For us, participation in an international programme should not end when the final session is over. A strong project should give participants a clear next step — a new professional contact, a joint publication, an internship, a research project, or an initiative of their own. The discussion also addressed some very practical questions: how to reach beyond the same familiar audiences, overcome language and logistical barriers, and, most importantly, maintain connections between participants after a project has ended. 😌 Many thanks to our colleagues at the Gorchakov Fund for the invitation and for creating a space where Russia–Latin America cooperation is discussed not only in terms of major international trends, but also through concrete projects that can be launched today. ¡Gracias, Volgograd! 🇷🇺✨

A New Stage in Russia–Latin America Cooperation 🌎 From July 13 to 16, São Paulo hosted the first Strategic Cooperation Forum between Russia and Latin America, CORAL 2026, a project of the CICRAL Center for Integration and Cooperation, carried out with the support of the Gorchakov Fund and the Embassy of Russia in Brazil. The forum brought together representatives of government bodies, universities, think tanks, businesses, and public organizations from Russia and ten Latin American countries. The discussion focused on: ➡️ the development of Russian–Latin American partnership in the context of a multipolar world; ➡️ economic, technological, and energy cooperation; ➡️ education, science, and public diplomacy; ➡️ humanitarian projects and youth engagement; ➡️ the role of the expert community in developing long-term cooperation. As part of the forum, CICRAL experts presented a collective study entitled "Latin America and Russia: Strategic Cooperation". It offers an analysis of Russia's relations with the countries of the region and outlines prospects for further interaction. The First Russia – Latin America Strategic Cooperation Forum CORAL 2026 has begun in São Paulo 🇧🇷 Today, the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo hosted the opening ceremony of the first international forum organized by the Russia–Latin America Integration and Cooperation Center (CICRAL). The event is supported by the Gorchakov Fund.

Over the next four days, participants from Russia and ten Latin American countries will discuss political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation. A key highlight of the Forum will be the presentation of a comprehensive study on the current state of Russia's partnership with 12 Latin American countries.
