Nudge to English: #SpeakingPart2                                                                                                                                                                          Describe an unusual holiday you had                                                                                                                       https://t.me/englishnudge #Script Back in my sophomore year at university, me and my classmates, along with our teachers, took a trip to Samarkand during spring break. It was all thanks to one of our teachers who suggested it because we were struggling to practice our English outside of university. So she thought that it would be cool to head to a tourist-packed city and chat with some travelers, foreigners. So instead of just sightseeing or snapping pics, our aim was to level up our language skills. And that's what made this trip so spectacularly unusual. Some of us were not keen at first, but eventually we all got on board. We chipped in some cash and hired a Minibus. When we got there, we found a rented apartment and without waiting too long, hit the streets to interact with tourists. They were super friendly. And after noticing we had decent English, they started asking for advice on cool spots. And some even invited us along to some places. It was a real blast exploring the city while chatting away in English. Even though we stayed there for a few days, it really gave our English a little kick, a little nudge, and by the end of the trip, we were feeling pretty confident. We even talked about making it a tradition, but sadly, it never happened again. But this one time stuck in my memory personally, as one of the unusual experiences I shared with friends.
