#Transcript This is a tough one because of all the things that I watch or read, one thing that I hate the most that bugs me and causes a lot of disturbance and cringe is ads. I mean, the majority of them, if not all, usually promote nothing but materialism, greed, and unhealthy food options. And whenever they target kids, that's when they cross the line. As a mom, I hate this because it's not a rare occasion when my daughter comes up to me and asks me to buy all these advertised stuff. And then I have to spend a while explaining to her how harmful these products are for her health. I remember this one ad that belongs to a local fried chips company, and it actually has a lot of celebrities endorsing it. Literally every month they change the celebrity, and the sheer promotion it receives and the frequency with which it gets to the public really leaves you with no choice but to consume it. I mean, if your kids are watching TV in any capacity, they're bound to come across this ad and maybe start craving for it. So, I mean, this is really, really pathetic of companies to target kids because there's really nothing worse for their health than all these ultra-processed junk food. But the companies keep pushing them, and media outlets just go with them simply for these financial incentives. https://t.me/englishnudge

People ask, “Have you ever seen the God you worship? How can you be sure He exists?” Answers: i. Just look around you. ii. I’ve never seen my soul either. And yet I revere it. That’s how I know God exists and why I revere Him—from having felt His power, over and over. (Marcus Aurelius) https://t.me/englishnudge

#Transcript There are a couple of websites that I visit daily, either for work, academic, or entertainment purposes. One virtual address that caters to all of these needs is Medium.com. It's essentially a hub where different writers or bloggers come together and share their beautiful pieces of writing with the general public. There are two subscription plans. The free one gives you access to a limited number of reads, whereas the paid one allows you to access an entire reservoir of articles that this website possesses. Well, why do I like this website? Well, there are, as I said, three reasons. For my work, when I'm looking for some cool piece of writing to share with my students, that's my go-to place. I am always satisfied with the kinds of articles that this website offers. And as a student, I usually navigate different courses, so if I need to complete some sort of assignment and if I'm seeking some additional information, Medium always has something that can benefit me. Finally, for entertainment purposes, I mean, if you're into some sort of topic, if you're a kind of a nerd that wants to explore some subject matter, you just type in that topic and thousands upon thousands of options will appear. For me personally, I love reading about culture, religion, history, and there are tons of interesting stuff related to these subjects. So Medium.com is probably going to stay my favorite website for years to come. https://t.me/englishnudge

I'm here with a podcast review instead of a #bookreview. The 2-hour morning walk was well-spent with this episode. It made me introspect, empathize, laugh, and even get teary - a real rollercoaster of emotions! If young folks out there are looking for a role model, look no further. Mukhammad Ali embodies, from what it seems, positive characteristics you might expect from a genuine, solid man. Part of the reason why the episode oozes so much energy and wisdom are all the wonderful questions asked by @markhabo_radjabova. Hats off to you, girl! You know what's sad?! Our failure, as a nation, to support each other. All English-speaking Uzbeks should go over and subscribe to this podcast channel and spread the word. https://t.me/englishnudge
