Dear God, thank You for this new day and thank You for being good no matter what’s happening in my life. Your word in Psalm 107:1 says, “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” God, whether things are going good or I’m walking through something difficult, You’re still good. When You answer my prayers and even if You’re silent, You’re still good. Help me remember today that Your love for me never changes. You love me when I fall short, when I make mistakes, and even when I feel unworthy of You. Thank You for a love that endures forever, no matter what I bring to it. In Jesus’ name, Amen. In Step with God “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25) Can you imagine sprinting as hard as you can possibly run . . . without being able to see? That’s what happens in Paralympic guide running. Blind runners compete with a guide, someone who runs alongside them step by step, connected by a short tether. American runner David Brown is among the world’s fastest blind Paralympian runners, having won a gold medal for running a 100-meter dash in under eleven seconds. Jerome Avery was Brown’s guide for much of his career. Brown described their connection this way: “We’re like one person.” Avery agreed, saying, “It should look like one person running.” What a beautiful illustration of the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Even when we’re running with all we’ve got, the Spirit stays perfectly in step with us—directing our every movement, guiding us this way and that. In Galatians 5, Paul describes how we overcome struggles with sin: by being in sync with the Spirit’s work in us. He writes, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh” (v. 16). A few verses later, he adds, “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit” (v. 25). That, he says, would enable us to step past the “acts of the flesh” (v. 19) so we can be spiritually fruitful (vv. 22-23). Let’s walk—and maybe even run—in step with the Spirit. By Adam R. Heavenly Father Thank You that the Holy Spirit helps me walk closely with You. Please help me keep in step with You! Scripture Insight; Paul had much to teach us about the Holy Spirit’s role in the life of the believer in Jesus. The moment a person believes in Christ through faith, they receive the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:2, 14). Referred to as “the Spirit of his Son” (4:6), God sent Him to dwell in our hearts. He adopted us to become His children and empowers us to call Him “Abba, Father” (v. 6). The apostle warned that our sinful human nature continues to resist the indwelling Spirit (5:17). The key to victory is to live in the power of the Spirit. As we’re led by Him and walk and keep in step with Him, He helps us to overcome the vices of the sinful nature and live in a right relationship with God (vv. 5, 16, 18, 25). Such a Spirit-controlled life is one that pleases God as it bears the “fruit of the Spirit” (v. 22). By: K. T. I have never ever in my life had a spiritual experience like a sign of some sort. we had to put my Neddy down last Friday and I have been a complete mess. I have been feeling so guilty and wondering if I made the wrong decision or made it too early. Last night I prayed to God for Ned to give me a sign that he was okay because I was so upset and worried that he was mad at me or thought I was punishing him. Back story: When I had Ned I would always take him to the Hunnington bank by my house and go through the drive thru and they would always send him milk bones. He would always sit in my lap because he knew the milk bones were coming and couldn’t wait. Today’s story: I went to a DIFFERENT Hunnington bank that was by my work. I have never brought Ned to this bank and none of the people there know about Ned. When I went through a lady who I had never met before was taking care of me. When she sent out my deposit she sent out a milk bone too. I was really confused and thought it was so weird she just sent me one out. I met my mom for coffee and told her and we talked a little about. I went back to work and about 15-20 minutes later my mom showed up. She told me she couldn’t let it go and went to the bank and she told the lady that I had just come thru and described what I looked like and what my car looked like. She told the lady “you gave my daughter a milk bone. Why did you do that?” She was confused and told her “I’m sorry… I just saw she had a dog in the car and sent one out for him. I normally don’t ask and just send them out I’m sorry.” My mom asked again “you saw a dog in her car?” And she told her “yes she had a dog with her” My mom asked her what the dog looked like and she described Ned exactly. She told her he was sitting right next to me. She was very confused as to why my mom was asking all of these questions. My mom told her about Neddy passing away. The lady felt horrible thinking she upset me and my mom told her “no don’t be sorry!” and then asked her if he looked happy and she said yes, he looked very happy and she even waved at him because she thought he was so cute. she was shocked when my mom told her about Ned passing. When my mom told me I burst into tears. This woman who I had never met and knew nothing about me saw Ned in my car with me. Neddy was with me and he was letting me know he was okay😭❤️❤️ I know some of you might think I’m crazy or making this up but it is 100% true. Our babies give us signs to let them know they are okay. They want us to take comfort in the fact that they are at peace. ~Unknown
