This is actually quite funny. After the Orthodox oligarch Malofeev once again criticized the Kremlin for being too soft and called on it to “fight for real,” he was immediately attacked by Boris Yakemenko, a propagandist from Solovyov’s channel.
Yakemenko called employees of Malofeev’s media holding Nazis and pogromists, and urged Malofeev to go fight in the “SMO” himself.
As usual, everyone is demanding a tougher war — as long as someone else is the one doing the fighting.
Interestingly, over the course of the war, Russian Z-propagandists have developed their own unique style, one of whose defining features is constant swearing and verbal abuse.
I’ve never seen anything quite like it elsewhere — a host simply sitting in front of a camera, hurling insults, curses, and threats. Yet in Russia, it’s become a very popular genre. It’s especially common on Solovyov’s channel. There are other examples too, such as Azaryonok (who is Belarusian, but is effectively a Z-propagandist as well), or the deranged old man Baranets, who spends his broadcasts berating callers.
Maybe they picked it up from the Taliban or some other radical Islamist preachers. I honestly don’t know what else to compare it to. This certainly wasn’t the case in the Soviet era. Back then, mainstream media emphasized a cultivated and intellectual image. It would have been difficult to imagine a Soviet TV host sitting in a studio screaming threats and obscenities the way Solovyov, Gasparyan, or Mardan do today.
This style isn’t common in Ukraine either. There is no major TV host or blogger who spends entire monologues shouting into the camera: “Bastards! Scum! Destroy them! Kill them! Show no mercy!” It’s hard to imagine anyone here willingly watching that kind of nonsense.
Yet in modern Russia, this genre has somehow become highly successful. It’s noticeable that these hosts are expected to work themselves into a frenzy and perform outrage on air. What’s strange is that Russians have had the patience to watch this for years. Listening to it feels like your ears are bleeding. Perhaps it’s an attempt to compensate for obvious frustrations elsewhere. But by the fifth year, you’d think people would have grown tired of it.

There are simply no words for such a treacherous and despicable strike. They were praying for the grandparents of Ukrainians whom they kill every day, and then those inhumane Ukrainians dared to strike a military factory!
Meanwhile, Russian forces merely bomb residential buildings, churches, and museums on a daily basis, killing children and elderly people in wheelchairs, while those bloodthirsty fascists struck a facility producing components for missiles and drones.
It’s impossible to read this without tears.
