He has been known as a shadow figure that holds significant influence within the political sphere of the PMF-Network in Iraq.

Today the regime in Iran carried out 2 attacks against the Kurdish opposition parties from Rojhelat based in the autonomous region of Kurdistan. Both attacks were carried out with explosive laden drones. The first attack struck a camp of the Komala near Surdash (Slemani) and the second attack struck the PDKI camp near Koya. In both cases the camps that were struck were inhabited by the families of the Peshmerga; they are not military bases.

Not only is this a violation of the agreement between the SDF and the STG - it is also a continuation of the Ba’ath-Arabisation policy in Kurdish regions of Syria.

Provocations continue in the Kobani countryside! While the siege of Kobani by groups affiliated with the Turkish state continues, supporters of the Damascus government are trying to enter villages controlled by the SDF between Kobani and Tal Abyad (Girespî).

The Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Transitional Government have agreed to establish a Kurdish brigade in Afrin.

He joined ISIS in 2015 and participated in numerous battles in the Raqqa countryside.He is an expert in rocket artillery within the ISIS and fought alongside the group on many fronts, especially in the Hezima front. n 2017, he fled to the Azaz region in Aleppo province, where he joined Liwa Sultan Murad, and later moved to Ahrar al-Sharqiya. He is currently operating in the Tel Abyad (Girêspî) region as part of Ahrar al-Sharqiya, within the Turkey-(Cêş el Wetenî / SNA).

Othman argued that preoccupation with formal criticism of these trials may be more dangerous than the trials themselves, because accepting this path—even under the guise of criticism—could turn into an implicit recognition of the legitimacy of procedures that do not meet the minimum conditions of justice. He added that the time has come, as he put it, “to call things by their names without hypocrisy,” considering these trials “corrupt” and not intended to reveal the truth or hold criminals accountable. Othman explained that justice has clear conditions, foremost among them the existence of an independent judiciary that is not subject to political or security directives, and the existence of laws that criminalize serious crimes—including crimes against humanity, war crimes, and genocide—which must be applied to all parties. He also emphasized the necessity that accountability include the chain of command, with the lifting of immunities from any political, security, or military position, whether past or present. Othman stressed that these conditions are not available in what he described as “theatrical performances,” considering that as long as the essence of the process is corrupt, what is being presented is not justice, but rather a political management of popular anger and a distortion of the truth. He pointed out that these trials will not close the door to accountability, no matter how much they are amplified in the media, and will not prevent judicial pursuits in Europe under universal jurisdiction. Othman concluded by affirming that the current trials will not prevent the establishment of genuine Syrian trials for all criminals in the future, when a truly independent justice system befitting the sacrifices of the Syrians becomes available—one that puts an end to impunity.

Osama Othman: The ongoing trials in Damascus are “political propaganda in the name of justice” Osama Othman, head of the board of directors of the “Caesar Files” group organization, stated that what is happening today in Damascus cannot be considered a passing event or merely a “trend” that occupies public opinion for a few days while diverting attention from a deteriorating living and security reality. In a post on his personal account, Othman described these trials as “show trials” that do not represent transitional justice, but rather an attempt to empty justice of its content. He considered them political propaganda conducted in the name of justice, and a means to dilute an issue of the magnitude of the Syrians’ ongoing sacrifices to this day.
