Yes sir Interview date :29 march 2023 Reporting time 9 am There were total 12 candidates and only 1 Interview panel having 5 members ( all are drdo scientist) none are IIT Prof Chairman 1.Introduction 2. Since I was working in AAI as an ATC , asked me why u want to leave such a prestigious job 3. Why you want to join DRDO since AAI is also aPSU 4. Tell me something about drdo. I told about that and also mentioned some missile names like brahmos Now next question was from here. Chairman shift me to member 1 telling me that he is the scientis looking after bhrahmos. Member 1 : what do u know about brahmos? What is genset? Did u studied basic electrical engineering in 1 st year? I told yes Then asked me to tell what is genset? Draw sfd and bmd of axle of vehicle? What are the types of diesel engine? Not IC ENGINE Member 2: tell me about cruise missile What is the speed of missile? Just tell me in terms of mach number? Can speed of missile be subsonic also? What is the speed of sound? Member 3: asked me only one or two questions related to AIRCRAFT since I was in ATC What type of fuel is used in aircraft? What type of engine in aircraft? Member 4: tell me about launching pad? How we can design launching pad? Material of launching pad? What is co ordinates? What is space? Chairman : Told me that time is running out I will now ask you only one last question It is about shear stress related to their project which was going on in drdo They provided me with hardly some time to think So I couldnot be able to think about that. Then he told thank u amit Total duration was about approx 40 minutes On that day everbodys interview was going for around 40 minutes.

If u r demotivated during your preparation then pls go through this Few days back shared by one student How my jaourney started.. 10th - 59.8% after 1 fail 12th -62.4% after 2 fail (You can now see how much below average student I was) Aieee- 32000 rank(2011) and 2012 also aieee rank was near to this. 2012-Taken admission in private college I was 2nd batch of my college. After till 2nd year I was only student in college who has not any back , but by my friends graces I got I back in Tom 2 in 3rd year. 2015- Started preparation for GATE and ESE only student with one another friend who has dare to do that but lack of motivation . We haven't got any right direction from any seniors or teachers . 2016-18- as I was more inclined towards army- Given 11 SSBs (army , navy , coast guard) Screened out , not recommended, recommend but (flat feet medical out- not disclosed to any one till now- secret within me ) Taken the session of psychiatrist also to improve myself (as past was dark🤩) 2018 - taken admission in Madeeasy (one stop solution for technical- as I was already done with my aspire , now new aspire has to be build) 2018 - Gate - missed 1st exam qualified- goa shipyard limited (assistant manager)- written qualified - interview out UPRVUNL ae- written not qualified CIL - Written not qualified UPSC OFB JWM- Written out 2019 - Gate - less score IES - not qualified in pre Ssc je - 2017 missed pre by .3 marks FACT MT- interview out SSC je 2018 - Written qualified , interview qualified - merit out DMRC JE - missed the exam (1min late -gate closed) Ssc cgl- tier 3 missed (again late by 1 Min at gate)(tier 1 and 2 was qualified) Same year many exams written out like(SJVN , BHEL , CSL , AAI, JPSC AE PRE) 2020- Rajasthan PSC AE- mains out Ssc je 2019- written qualified, mains qualified- waiting for DV SSC JE 2020 - form rejected Sports authority of India - interview out RRB JE- WAITING LIST ESE PRE-2020- Railway vacancy withdrawn (missed by 1 no. to qualify for mains) Nlc/rcfl - written out UPPSC - written out 2021- CIL - interview out SPMCIL- Interview out ISRO SCIENTIST- interview out HAL DT- interview out NRL- waiting for interview (9dec) HRRL- waiting for interview (expected in DEC) ESE PRE (QUALIFIED) - MAINS WRITTEN- waiting for mains result UPRVUNL- Written qualified-(score was near to cutoff - interview (more personal life question - journey which I have mentioned) - still in dilemma But finally selected--- Rat ki neend ud gayi thi aaj k liye..😁

Pumps, heat exchanger related questions can be expected as they are very critical equipment of a power plant. Questions from material science are also asked. They also ask practical questions like how you can case harden a gear... , what are cooking utensils are made of, how do you choose material for a pressure cooker, what is the purpose of each element in composition( like nickel, cromium , carbon) to know if you can think like an engineer. Overall i would say basic knowledge of power plant, turbo machinery, material science, fluid mechanics is important. Regardless of subjects you choose as your favourite, they will try to ask some questions from these. Important thing about interviews is that you can also decide direction of interviews , you should use technical words which you are confident about and they may ask about that as their next question. But you should also be careful to not use such words if you don't know about something because there is a good chance that the next question will come from your answer itself. It's okey to say I'm sorry sir I am not able to recall if you don't know. Also they do not go very deep but test your basics. Also take a second or two to think about the answer before answering.
