I don’t usually give too many suggestions, but I’m a little senior to you all. After the result, some of you may be disappointed while others may be happy. But I would give both groups the same advice: don’t put everything into defence exams, otherwise your story may end up like those who cross their age limit while appearing for SSB interviews. I would suggest getting a job, improving your skills, or exploring other ways to earn. People are making money through social media and many other fields. Choose something you genuinely like and are good at, and keep moving forward.

I would rather suggest that you accept your shortcomings and understand that you may currently be too weak to clear the exam. This is a harsh reality, but accepting it is the first step towards improvement. Every year, a few hundred candidates clear SSB, while many others are left behind. But nobody talks about those who couldn't clear it. SSB is a loop—often, nobody really knows why someone was rejected, and even those who clear it may not fully understand what exactly worked in their favour. So, don’t blindly follow someone thinking, “They cleared SSB, so I will clear it too.” Their journey may be completely different from yours. Keep multiple options open. Prepare for several exams, pursue relevant courses, and focus on different job opportunities. Don’t put your entire future on a single exam.
