THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: *To tell lies is to go to hell.* Many years ago, someone invited me to join two persons in marriage. However, the lady was already three months pregnant and I did not know. The pregnancy was neatly hidden inside her wedding gown. You know, there are people whose three months’ pregnancy would look as if they are not pregnant at all. Ignorantly, I went to join the couple and after six months, they gave birth to a baby. When I heard that they had given birth, I asked them, “Was it a premature birth?” They said, “No. We are sorry sir.” I said, “What! You invited me to officiate your wedding even though you knew that you were already three months pregnant? I even asked you at the wedding venue, “Do you have any reason why you may not be joined together? And you said No.” It was a terrible experience! It is very important to know that lying takes people to hell. All liars shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. To tell lies is to go to hell. That will not be your portion, in Jesus’ Name. Revelation 21:8 says: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. It does not matter the gravity of the lie they tell, all liars, including those who lie to pastors at the point of joining them in marriage, shall have their part in the lake of fire. At the point of joining two persons in marriage, the pastor usually asks, “Do you know of any reason why you may not be joined together?” Then the couple would respond and say “No”. And some would say, “No” even though they had committed an abortion. Beloved, do not allow lies to ruin your life here on earth, and in eternity. *REMEMBER THIS:* _To tell lies is to go to hell._ ASSIGNMENTS: 1. By all means, avoid the temptation of lying. 2.
