📌 Concept of the Day 📌 Application of Oxidizing Flame Firecrackers emit colors due to a phenomenon called incandescence. When a firecracker explodes, it heats up particles to extremely high temperatures, causing them to glow and emit light across various wavelengths, which we perceive as colors. Different elements and compounds in the firecracker produce distinct colors: - Red: Strontium or Lithium salts - Orange: Calcium salts - Yellow: Sodium salts - Green: Barium salts - Blue: Copper salts - Purple: Manganese salts As the hot particles cool, the colors fade, leaving behind a trail of sparks and smoke.
