(1a) The meeting called by Mr. Alfred, the managing director, was an emergency meeting. This type of meeting is convened to address urgent and important issues that cannot wait for the scheduling of regular meetings. It was called in response to the workers' grievances regarding the irregular and incomplete payment of their salaries due to the economic conditions affecting the company. (1b) Miss Bukky Josephine, as the head of the human resources department, played the role of minute-taker during the meeting. Her responsibility was to document the proceedings of the meeting, including the discussions that took place, any decisions made, and actions proposed to resolve the issues raised by the workers. (1ci) The committee headed by Mr. Brown can be classified as an investigative committee. Its purpose was to look into the incident that occurred during the meeting when some staff destroyed office equipment and to advise management on how to prevent such occurrences in the future. (1cii) (i)An introduction that provides background information on the incident and the purpose of the committee's investigation. (ii)A detailed account of the incident, including the events that led up to the meeting and the actions taken by the staff during and after the meeting. (iii)An analysis of the contributing factors to the incident, which may include the state of the economy, the irregular payment of salaries, and the behavior of the managing director. (iv)Recommendations on measures to prevent a recurrence of such incidents, which could involve suggestions for improving communication between management and staff, revising salary payment processes, or implementing conflict resolution strategies. (v)A conclusion that summarizes the findings and reinforces the importance of the recommended actions to the management for consideration. (1d) Bambam Textile Company operates a branch filing system. This system is used by organizations with multiple branches, where each branch maintains its own files and records relevant to its operations. The mention of branches keeping documents suggests that each location has an independent system for managing its paperwork. (1e) (i)Recruitment and Staffing: She is responsible for overseeing the recruitment process, which includes job postings, interviewing, and selecting candidates to fill open positions within the company. (ii)Employee Relations and Welfare: Miss Josephine manages the relationship between the company and its employees. (iii)Policy Formulation and Compliance: She is involved in developing, revising, and implementing human resources policies and procedures.
